Black Kat Benders want to thank everybody that supported us throughout our time in Tulsa. We have decided to move on as artists after 5 years and pursue other projects. Black Kat Benders is now officially over. When we set out we were determined to play our original music and play it our way. We relied on high caliber performance and originality to get us into many of Tulsa and the surrounding areas showcase opportunities. We never signed with any company or Government handout grant BS and always booked our own shows, promoted our own work. We paid for our recording and CD recording out of money made by playing gigs. We played along side some of Tulsa's best and stood out as a band that were able to hang right there with them. Thanks again to those who supported us. We put out 2 CDs of original music that were our sound. Not the so called Tulsa sound or other marketing scheme. We were original in a town of cover bands. Loud and Proud. Thanks again to those who supported us and bought our CDs and came to our shows. It's been a great ride!!!! Thank You!!!!
Our music is in the rotation at Radio IDL! Check us out at www.radioidl.com!

What a year we have had! January found us on the cover of the Tulsa Blues society magazine. We also welcomed a new member as Blair Raguse took over playing bass for us. What a great addition he has been. We played several high end gigs including the CAINS Ballroom, OKC Limits, and the Cimaron in Tulsa. All of our gigs this year featured our original music and we had great response from all that came and heard us. Especially at the IBC competitions. The end of summer found us at Natura Studios with David Teegarden and company at the helm of his wonderful studio. We recorded, mixed and mastered 12 original songs which can be found on our CD, Black Kat Benders. Reviews are in and it's been a huge success. We have had radio play in OKC, Colorado and all over the world via the Internet. Sales have been great as we have sold here in the US and Canada. We went as high as #3 on the Reverbnation charts for Blues in Tulsa, OK. We took a break towards the end of the year and can't wait to get back at it in 2013. Thanks again to all our friends, old and new, and thanks for your support! Have a safe and Happy New Year and we'll see you soon! BKB
