Huffington Post

Hey Folks, I had a very exciting thing happen yesterday. A beautifully written article about me was released in The Huffington Post. Lori Weiss wrote about my life and told my story of growing up wanting to be a singer and after having some success, I put my career on the back burner to raise my children while my husband persued his musical career playing guitar. After 20 something years and at the age of 55, I get a record deal and release my first cd on a label. She did an amazing job and it has opened some wonderful doors for me already. I'd love for you to check it out and pass it along to everyone you know..Until next time..Keep smiling and never give up your dreams..http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/11/mom-signs-record-deal_n_1662012.html?utm_hp_ref=marlo-thomas

Sorry I've been MIA for a couple of months but things have been very active for me. I've been out touring with Delbert McClinton and also Paul Thorn. It's been so awesome. I've been doing a lot of interviews and just went to Lexington KY and taped Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour which will be archived in the next couple of weeks. You can watch it on www.woodsongs.com. The record hit the Living Blues charts at #20 last month and is still there. I will have a feature in the Huffington Post on Marlothomas.com. It will be coming out this month. So. as you can see, I have a lot going on..Be sure and visit my website at www.ettabritt.com..Till next time, keep smiling..

CD Release

Today is the release of my debut album "Out of the Shadows" on Wrinkled Records. We're celebrating tonight with a free show at 3rd and Lindsley. I'm thrilled that over 130 stations across the country have added my song to the playlist already. I'm looking forward to a great rest of 2012..Hope to see you down the line.

It's happening

Hello friends,

This has been a whirlwind couple of months. I finished the record and we have received copies to sell at my shows and send out for promotions. Wrinkled Records is fabulous. They have hired Lance Cowan as my publicist. He’s working hard for me. I went on the road with Delbert McClinton for a couple of shows. I got to sing backup with him and he featured me for two songs on the first night and I opened for him the second night. I sold cd’s and met a lot of wonderful folks that have become fans. It was awesome. I played The Billy Block show and it was streaming “live” for folks not in Nashville. I have a show coming up March 16th at Two Old Hippies in the gulch and my cd release show is booked for April 26th at 3rd and Lindsley. The record is available for digital download on Wrinkledrecords.com and the physical release is April 24th.

On the home front, Bob and I have started working on the garden and planting a little. We planted 3 different kinds of lettuce, some spinach and leeks today. I cleared out my herb garden and cleaned out the rosemary. The weather is beautiful right now and it’s so tempting to prune my roses and plant flowers but I’ll hold off until it’s spring. My little chicks along with the little rooster and guineas are doing great. Mater, the donkey is my pal now. He follows me around and allowed me to brush him only for a minute today..Things are great here on the farm and I’m loving getting my solo career going and can’t wait to see where coming “Out of the Shadows” will take me..More later..

The Beginning

Welcome to my Reverbnation page. I'm so excited to have my marketing tools up and running. After signing with Wrinkled Records in March 2010, we immediately started selecting songs. In May we began recording and finished in December. I have titled my record "Out of the Shadows" because for the past 25 years, I have been in the background singing for other people and watching some of my friends in the spotlight. It's my turn to come out and stand in the light..I hope you'll come along with me on this new journey..

Hi Etta

At last after 13 years of looking out for you, here you finally are, great news. Its ok Im not some weird stalker, far from it. My late husband visited Nashville 13 years ago and stumbled across you playing in a bar. He purchased a tape cassette of your songs and you became a huge part of our musical lives on long car journeys. All four of our children were bought up on 'Mamas got a gun', which is my reason for trying to track you down.

I dont want to go into too much detail on your page so would really appreciate it if you could friend me or message me in order for me to contact you privately. I'd really appreciate your help in locating some of your older tunes.

Many thanks Jayne x
