Shango Da Don Ragga / Blog

What's Goin' On!!??

Wowwww, it's been like...3 years since I've written anything in my blog, but can you believe that ReverbNation has been around so long? My first blog entry was back in 2010! Man...so much has changed.

For example, in 2010, I had just met the woman I've shared a home with for going on six years now, and we just had our first child almost a month ago, in October 2015. A beautiful little girl we named Aaliyah Miracle Pomaika'i. It was a rough delivery, and this little angel almost died in the labor room, but she's here with us, and man...she's changed my life in so many ways.

My internet radio station is still going, and growing, make sure you check it out when you get a chance at www.rudeboyradio808.com, AND, I have a weekly radio show on AM...KPRP 650 AM in Honolulu, OR on Ustream at PinoyPowerRadio.

Performances have really tapered off...don't think I've been on a stage in about 2 years now, which absolutely sucks, but I have been putting on shows for other artists. Just took a break for the baby.

I've matured a lot, and a lot of what used to bother me doesn't. A lot that used to impress me seems so silly and shallow now. But, the one constant in my life, is my own music. I do have plans to get back on stage, in a month or two, so no worries...Shango will be back doing what he does best in a minute. Just wanna take a little time and get to know this little person that just turned my home upside down, lol!

BIG TINGS A GWAN!!

I do my best to never look a gift horse in the mouth and appreciate the blessings which have been bestowed upon me. I think its important in this life that we appreciate even the smallest charity, and whenever possible, we return the kindness.

The Struggle Continues

Man, I've been in this game so long now, and have worn almost every hat there is to wear from artist, to producer, engineer, A&R, booking agent, promoter, videographer, graphics artist, you name it. And in 2010, I'm still on the grind, tryin' to get mine. The game never stops, it just gets crazier.
