We’ve got some really exciting shows coming up, and we can’t effing wait…
So we’ve been at home in St. John’s for the last month or so, and we’ve been writing/jamming/boozing/playing/boozing/writing pretty well non-stop. We’ve got some new tunes in the works, and we’ll be playing a few of them at these shows. Also, these are our first shows since winning five MusicNL Awards, so it’ll be our first chance to celebrate that with you guys:
Friday, November 30th The Backlot in Corner Brook with Slacker Doors at 8pm Cover $5 Facebook event http://www.facebook.com/events/300950046673429/
Friday, December 14th The Rockhouse in St. John’s with Other People Doors at 10pm Tickets available at Fred’s Records, The Ship and online at http://etixnow.com/events/repartee-dec-14 Facebook event here.
So what about the two weeks in between…? Well we’re going back out on a sweet tour around Atlantic Canada. More to be announced on that very soon.
Shows! Tunes! Drinks! Christmas! Snow (the rapper)! We hope to see you there!
When I first started this band, I’d go to a coffee shop downtown, pull out my laptop, plug in my headphones, and load up the R3-30 to listen to while I worked on the business stuff.
CBC Radio 3′s R3-30 is where I discovered Yukon Blonde , Austra , You Say Party , and many more incredible Canadian artists.
So when we found out our tune I Would Die Before You had entered the R3-30 on November 2nd, we were pretty effing excited. And when we found out on November 9th we had moved up four spots, we were even more excited. And today, we found out that we’re longlisted for a CBC Radio 3 Bucky Award for Rookie of the Year…we felt like calling Craig Norris and making him our honorary merch girl.
Really though, this is so wild.
