Sacrifice the Gods / Blog

An encouraging paragraph!

Look! An encouraging paragraph! This is totally worth a quick read. You really need to read it and make considerations.

Is your band, or venue sick of dealing with half-organized, weak or non-promoting, Johnny-Come Latelys?

* Finished with hearing BANDS complain, "Oh man, darn, no place to play, venues are jerks, blah, blah, bleh?" We've all said it at one time or another, true. Finished with hearing venues say "Oh man, not another metal band, they never sell our liquor by promoting the show, etc so our venue can't host you?" Finished with selling tickets to drive more than an hour to play to only the bartender and drive home $broke$. A well-placed, well marketed HOME show could have provided Tons more exposure & interest! Imagine a thousand other related scenarios. That's EXACTLY why SACRIFICE THE GODS is in mission-mode; to turn things toward a mutually-beneficial, collaborative group effort for metal in OUR wonderful 618! There is little sense (or even public benefit) to made of being a separatist (in this context). Hop along, let's get to brainstorming TOGETHER! Consider that "preparing an environment" for a particular situation yields the "fruit" for which it is prepared. Of course we ALL know there is an Incredible amount of dispersed talent in the basements, garages, and living rooms of SOUTHERN Illinois. Get the F up, and landscape our environment to yield what's missing: A Metal-friendly, metal SEEKING Environment. It's OURS, Let's MAKE it work!
