UNCERTANTY CLOUDS MY VISION AGAIN. SERCHING FOR WORDS TO EXPLAIN WHERE I STAND. INABILITY TO SEE THE PATH TO TAKE. THE FUTURE, NOT CLEAR THIS TIME TO MANY MISTAKES. I’TS OVER NOW THIS PAST IVE LED ALL YOU GAVE ME, FEAR THAT YOU ONLY FED. NEVER MIND ME NOW IN MY TIME OF NEED. LETTING YOU SLIP AWAY MY PAIN YOU CEASE TO FEED. IT’S NOW OR NEVER NOT SCARED TO SEE WHAT I WILL BECOME. WITHOUT LIVING UNDERNEITH YOUR THUMB. SO MANY YEARS OF DISFUNCTIONAL LOVE IT’S LEFT ME HATING YOUR KISS THAT ONLY STUNG. AND I KNOW THE TIME IS NOW . FOR ME TO WALK AWAY BEFORE MY SOUL IS DROWNED. I LEAVE ALONE A PAST THAT’S SPENT WITH OUT FEELINGS OF REMORSE JUST REGRET. ~sMc
Darkness all around me Demons in my head Paranoia mixed with vicious dread Every shadow lurking All that’s in my sight Confront these fears that I have to fight Nothing hides the shadows Nothing numbs the pain Evading truth flows through my veins Inhale. Drink it down. Fill the void until I drown. Sacrifice reality. Satisfied I cease to be. Can’t escape the chaos Victim of my mind Attempt to leave this world behind Everyone has failed me No one cares at all It’s like I’m screaming at brick walls People say I’m crazy Think they know the truth As time goes by, I believe it too Inhale. Drink it down. Fill the void until I drown. Sacrifice reality. Satisfied I cease to be. Forgive me for I sin Won’t look back this time Deepest depths from which I have to climb Pretending it’s ok, this won’t hurt at all The bottle Upside down Again I start to fall Punishment with substance Medicated grace The illusion, realities displaced Inhale. Drink it down. Fill the void until I drown. Sacrifice reality. Satisfied I cease to be. sMc
WHO is COMFORT IN RAGE? A: We are a 5 piece band; We have two Awesome guitarists, Ryan Devine, and Vlad Gonzalez, A killer bass guitar Chris Boodhoo, Jax Gilsdorf is our Drummer with a nasty kick and me Stuart Clark belting lead vocals. After initially forming in 2003 and several changes to the line up WE are “Comfort in Rage” Ryan is a San Diego Native who has been playing for 18 years, He also does a lot of the music writing and back up vocals with this incredible scream! Ryan is also the brains behind the promotions. He is basically the manager, graphics artist, main promoter, and guitarist. Not only is he sick on guitar but he is an asset far beyond his musical talent. Vlad, has been playing guitar for many several years. Vlad is definitely one of the most talented guitarists I've seen. He continues to push the band in directions we never considered as well as bring amazing riff writing that continues to drive the point that we have another great guitarist on our hands. Chris on bass is the part of our line up that I can truthfully say, by being ours we have finally put together a string trio unmatched in this genra and sound. By far Chris is a force to reckoned with and hes all ours! With Jax we have the sickest Drummer! Jax has the most important job of keeping us on time and keeping that beat pounding through your body. He is also From San Diego where he started playing Drums at an early age. His wit and easy going nature made him an immediate friend and his drumming gave him a solid spot in the line up! And then there's Me... Stuart Clark on Lead Vocals I'm originally from Kalamazoo MI. I'm currently a U.S. Marine, have been deployed several times to include Afghanistan and Iraq multiple times. I started singing since the time I could speak and read. I also primarily write the lyrics for our songs and feel like so far, I've matched the complexity and feel of the music with appropriate and equal consideration. None of us slaps anything together and that is why we continue to progress and produce quality. Thank you all for the support in allowing us to live a dream! Comfort In Rage will always remember (and to borrow a line from "Break Not Bend") We "know this now in black and white, were nothing without you"! RAGE ON! ~CIR !
