Here we go into 2013! It is going to be an exciting adventure this year and I am ready to get to it!
Personally, I have begun my training to climb a 14,505 foot mountain this summer. A little scary. A lot of work. It is just something that I have to do. So...
The first few months of the year I will be splitting my time between physical training, rehearsing and performing, writing songs for me, and recording singles. Then, hopefully by mid-year, I will get back to my trips to Nashville to co-write songs for other artists.
Of course, we have already begun to plan our touring schedule including some potentially exciting things in Europe so keep an eye on the show page. And finally...
Be sure to download the songs to the right. These are my gift to you. I will post at least two every month. If you enjoy them or the videos please share. We are always looking to make new friends.
To you all, I sincerely hope that this is a year of dreams come true.
See you out there.
Our shows in Norway were great! Wonderful people, a beautiful country, and, it is always so good to get home! As you can see, I finally have "Tony Baloney The Shetland Pony" on the web site. To see Tony and my Dad in this photo brought back so many memories. This has made me want to do another CD like "Cowboy's Daughter". Thanks to Eleanor, our wonderful web lady, there will be more free downloads for you over the next few months. She will also have more videos up soon. Use the link below to go to our "You Tube" site. Keep an eye on the "Show" page, we are adding gigs all the time and, you know I love to see you all at the gigs :) Don't forget the Christmas Fan Party on 12/14! Also, we are performing at The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar 12/21! Have a wonderful holiday season. See you out there!
So, first of all I need to say that I am sorry it has taken so long to write this. It has been nuts around here. Between performances, rehearsals, promoting the first single off Bring It On, and just finishing a GREAT tour of Italy, the days have flown by. We are back now and are gearing up for the rest of the year.
Here in Texas, it's been pretty hot, as it has been across most of the rest of the country, and so I invite you to join me in a cool drink, sit back, and see what has been - and more importantly - what will be going on with me and the band for the rest of the summer and beyond.
Yesterday, today, and...
This year has been pretty exciting. Starting with the continuation of the promotion of Butterfly Tattoo (it ended up at #5 in the nation as an independent country release)...Bill Wence did an amazing job. I am sure glad that he was there as I would have never picked this song . Now I understand just why his reputation is so stellar.
For my birthday, Merel got me a new mandolin (her name is Maybelle). A beautiful arch top 'F' Style. So, lessons and a ton of practice and I am now performing with her as well as the guitar. I LOVE HER!!!
Anyway, aside from gigging, mandolin lessons, and rehearsing at least two nights a week with the band (Merel is a slave driver - LOL), I have been writing, writing...and...writing. I was so honored in that I was one of a small number of people that were invited to go to Nashville last month to participate in an advanced songwriters gathering through The Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI). It was an exhausting and amazing three days. Then...back home for more gigs, more rehearsals, and preparation to go to...
Italy, 2012 2 weeks of heaven! No stress! An amazing band of people that truly love one another and love being together. This was our 14th annual "Sarah Pierce - Eat Our Way Across Italy Tour" This was by far the very best. Carl, Micio, and Merel were amazing. As most of you know, I typically play as a five piece. This time, we performed as a quartet. As Micio would say - PERFECTO!
We stayed, once again, with our dear friends at Cowboy's Guest Ranch. This is truly a beautiful little slice of Texas in the country outside of Voghera, Italy. Great staff, food, coffee (ask Carl), and horses!!!!
We got to see old friends and made a bunch of new ones. Italy really is like a second home to us.
We have already been invited back for three of the festivals we played this year - and - next year we hope to get back to Switzerland as well as branch out into some of the other European countries that are currently playing our music. Tomorrow
So now, we are back and, you guessed it, writing, rehearsing and performing. This is what it will be for the rest of the year...except for a week in October...we are going to Norway. PLEASE keep an eye on my site. A new web designer, more gigs being booked, the plan is to have at least two existing songs per month available for free download. New videos will be posted on the site and on our new YouTube Channel...thanks to our great friend and social media guru Amoreena Pronze - and - we will soon start recording brand new songs. The plan is to make them available as single downloads. OK, for now, that's it. I hope that you are all well and that your lives are filled with great blessings. Check our schedule. If we are close, please come and say hello. Hugs and handshakes are always welcome.
Love, Sarah Pierce Sarah Pierce Music
It is a new year and we are so excited about jumping into it! Butterfly Tattoo made it to #5 on The Country Chart! That was amazing for a little Indie label/artist! So, we move on. There will be more radio activity in March and in the meantime, keep checking the site for monthly videos and monthly "Stage It" shows. Stage It shows are through the Stage It website. We will be doing concerts in our studio that you can watch at home on your computer! I will do my show first and then start having guest singer songwriters join me. I am really excited about this and I think that you will love it! I can't wait to see you at the next gig. Keep an eye on the free download box. There will be a new song every week. I want to thank all of you again for you love and support. You are the greatest!
Love you, Sarah
Wow, it is December! I love this time of year! I will be hanging stockings this weekend. Lucy, Willy, Rosie, Emma, and, Henry check their stockings every morning hoping that Santa has come the night before. Ever since they were puppies Christmas has been special to them. Obviously, we can not put out their presents until Christmas morning, the stockings are tempting enough, but Christmas morning the tennis balls are flying and the treats are being eaten as quickly as possible. Remember, you can hear my Christmas CD, "It Must Be Christmas Time", all month on www.soundsofchristmas.com while you are decorating, baking, and all that stuff :) Also, look to your right... there's a box that says "Merry Christmas from me to you". This is my Christmas gift to all of you. There are two free downloads. Enjoy!
BREAKING NEWS: 'Butterfly Tattoo,' the first single off my new album - Bring It On - is climbing the charts and continues to be one of the fastest independent country 'movers' in the nation!!!! This week we are #28 on the Main Country Chart, #25 on the Country Indie Chart, and, #5 on the Roots Chart! We are so excited about this! Thank you so much for calling your radio stations and requesting 'Butterfly Tattoo.' You guys are doing all the work and I am so honored. Please keep it up. Oh, and while you're at it, don't forget the Internet stations that are there for those towns that, because of corporate politics, are not allowed to play independent artists. Of course, if you are inclined, you can still call and bug them. I remember a long time ago seeing a bumper sticker that read "Subvert the dominant paradigm!" WHAT????? I had no idea what they were talking about. Now, after howing this row for as long as I have, I totally get it. Hey, you never can tell. If 'the voice' is loud enough, maybe we can make things change!!! One way or the other, LETS HAVE FUN TRYING!!!! :)
The one thing that I know for sure is that you guys are the best! I thank you, I love you, and can't wait to see you again somewhere out there. Spread the love and joy in your hearts as far as it will go. Have a wonderful Christmas!

IT'S FINALLY DONE!!! YEA!!!
The new album is mixed, mastered and at the manufacturer (it's June 18th today). I am so excited to share with you all - and am so proud of all the great musicians that shared their talent for this one. Maybe humbled is a better word. One way or the other, I love it!!!
Now, we're going to cut it all again. This time using the acoustic quartet only (Jane, Carl, Merel, and myself). This record is a lot more electric than Cowboy's Daughter and so I want to offer the songs in a way that might be better for some folks. We will start this process next week. It'll go quickly as we are going to record basically live..YES!.
As soon as I can, I will have songs posted in the new single section of the website. For now, come visit at sonicbids, myspace, reverbnation, facebook, or jango. These are all sites that support music and those that create it. As well, we have lots of gigs in the book so check out the SHOWS page and if you're close, come say hello. Love, Sarah
Well, it's finally here. The summer was a great one and I am glad that it's cooling off a bit. Musically, it has been a wonderful year and it seems that it will continue to be this way through the rest of 2010 and into 2011. Lots of gigs coming up including a couple at the end of the year with our dear friends Reckless Kelly. New Years eve will be at The House of Blues in Houston. As well, the new recording is coming along really nicely. Tracks for 8 are cut and we are working on the preproduction of the rest. The scheduled release date is early March 2011. This will be in time to get the domestic promotion in full swing and to have product available when we go to Switzerland and Italy toward the end of March and into April. I quickly want to thank everyone who has visited my site and want to congratulate all the amazing talent to be found on Reverbnation. I am proud to be a small part. Take care and we'll see one another down the road. Be well, Sarah
