Monday, September 20, 2010: It's Faith, It Belief

Faith means obediently stepping into the unknown. In order for you to step in the unknown you must believe! You must have faith! OK, let’s just walk in Hebrew for a minute and look at these examples of FAITH, BELIEF…. Hebrews 11 Great Examples of Faith 1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. 3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. 4 It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. Abel’s offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man, and God showed his approval of his gifts. Although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us by his example of faith. 5 It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying—“he disappeared, because God took him.”[a] For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God. 6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. 7 It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith. 8 It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. 9 And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. 10 Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God. 11 It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed[b] that God would keep his promise. 12 And so a whole nation came from this one man who was as good as dead—a nation with so many people that, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, there is no way to count them. 13 All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth. 14 Obviously people who say such things are looking forward to a country they can call their own. 15 If they had longed for the country they came from, they could have gone back. 16 But they were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them. Hebrews 11:6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Believe….. God Bless, The Holy Bible Mornings with Tawanda- Tawanda Robbins

Thursday, July 29, 2010- YOU ARE NEEDED "Mornings with Tawanda"

*Last night I was invited to be a part of the Last Days Ministries an International Web Event Remembering the Life of Jesus in Keith Green. The Broadcast was from Youth with a Mission in Kona Hawaii, there were three thousand plus who logged in to participate via web, the place was over flowing. For those of you who have not heard of Keith Green, he was an OCCUPIER whose Music and Message Changed a Generation. I encourage you to visit Keith Green's site and read about his amazing 28 years on this earth. You may even want to travel or support Youth with a Mission on a MISSION trip. www.keithgreen.com I send Mornings with Tawanda to you with a peaceful spirit, a curious mind, and a heart that is focused on God. As I type I can not help but to wonder about the state of Christians, the state of America where we are as a generation. Did you know that 50% of the world is in poverty? And that daily children... as young as the age two are being traded for SEX. In Uganda the cost for SEX is $0.50 with a child, in Thailand $20, *81% of these are females the statists are alarming! There is someone this morning without clean drinking water. There is a family who can not feed their children. Last night as I prayed and I asked God to send me, to give me His eyes to SEE what I can do to make a difference, to be HIS arms, HIS feet, and HIS body in MOTION! The thought of what’s going on in the world should sadden us! But we are so busy looking at what we want more of, BLESS ME LORD, BLESS ME! or they did not pay attention to me, I can't decide on what kitchen cabinets, who called me, what church activity am I in charge of, will they pay attention to me in church, I do not have this and I don’t have that. I’ve got to use my last money to pay my cell phone bill… and the list goes ON and ON! In America assistance is available, OK you’ve got to stand in line at least there’s a line. MOVE away from YOU! If you have accepted Jesus in your heart you have everything! You are allowed to read your BIBLE freely without going to jail, or being beaten... BIBLES are available for FREE in America! The situation you say you’re in there is someone right NOW who would LOVE to take your place. Last night I heard this song for the first time and I wrote down some of the lyrics “Jesus rose from the dead but you can’t get out of bed, you close your eyes and pertain the job is done” Look at this THE CURE! 2 Chronicles 7:14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. * If Gods people would do three things, God would respond in three ways. The Lords people need to become humble, that is confess; they needed to pray, (REPENT) and they needed to turn (come back to HIM) If they did, God would hear, forgive, and Heal them.

Wednesday, July 21, 2010: ALL ABOUT THE HEART "Mornings with Tawanda"

Morning! WOW! This a.m. is almost over. Whatever you are experiencing right know, going through, making decision, waiting for answers or directions, wherever you are in the process of life I encourage you to believe, but I alert you that you must believe in your heart without doubt. In your mind you believe as a matter of fact you convinced yourself that you believe. This morning while I’ve continue to spend my mornings with the Israelites in the book of Numbers I found myself gathering the offerings (going through God’s commands concerning sacrifices and offerings-cleansing rituals)… these people already had a relationship with God and the sacrifices and offerings to God were never to be understood as a means of salvation, instead, God designed the sacrificial system in order to cultivate a consciousness of Himself among the people. These sacrifices cultivated the person’s sense of perspective. These sacrificial systems was by no means cheap:; I was like Oh my Lord….But this fact impressed on the worshiper that only one’s best could be given to God. I continued to read and noticed no matter what they brought, who brought the right sacrifices, if their heart was far from God, would never please Him. Now we understand that Jesus is perfect and is God’s only Son, His death atones for sin (Heb. 10:1-10) Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice, Because of His death, we can approach the Holy God. However God continues to look at our hearts….. The Bible talks about the HEART so much, below are a few scriptures. What ever you believe today, believe with your heart and have no doubt. Before God we stand with a visible heart. Every intention is known, every thought is known, nothing is hidden... A visible HEART! Believe with your HEART and approach the throne making your request known for God sees your HEART! 1 John 5:14-15 (New Living Translation) 14 And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. 15 And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for. *Scriptures Psalm 44:21 God would surely have known it, for he knows the secrets of every heart. Matthew 5:8 God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. Matthew 9:4 Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he asked them, “Why do you have such evil thoughts in your hearts? Matthew 12:35 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. Matthew 15:8 ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Isaiah 1:5 Why do you continue to invite punishment? Must you rebel forever? Your head is injured, and your heart is sick. Deuteronomy 4:29 But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him Deuteronomy 6:5 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. Tuesday, June 29, 2010- Provision of Vision: Mornings with Tawanda

*Today’s Morning with Tawanda is lengthy, however I promise you will be blessed, as a matter of fact if you GRAB HOLD your life will change after reading, nevertheless it’s your choice, and your time.God designed every purpose with its own prosperity.People often stop dreaming about what they really want to do in life because they know they have few resources with which to do it. They believe they have to pay for their visions with their present incomes when they can barely make ends meet as it is. Similarly, when young people tell their parents what they dream of becoming, the parents often become nervous because they feel their children’s dreams are too big for them to finance. WHATEVER GOD PURPOSES, HE PROVIDES FOR If you believe that we have our own resources to accomplish God-given visions, then we are small dreamers (speak to me OCUH!) I want to encourage you that the Bible is very clear concerning the dreams and plans that are in our hearts and how they are meant to be provided for. Proverbs 16:1 says, “To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the reply of the tongue.” This statement has to do with provision (Provision-arrangement or preparation beforehand, as for the doing of something, the meeting of needs, the supplying of means, etc. something provided; a measure or other means for meeting a need).Whenever a person receives a dream from God, it usually seems impossible. Yet God knows that our provisions are never equal to our visions at the moment we receive them. He realizes that we cannot explain to others-or even ourselves-how we are going to accomplish our visions without the necessary money, people, facilities, or equipment. He knows that often our dreams are big and our bank accounts are small. What is His solution for us? He says that He will give the answer or: reply of tongue.”God’s will for our lives comes from His own will. That’s why He says it is our job to understand, believe, and write down our visions while it is His responsibility to explain how He’s going to accomplish them in His own time. That frees us to be creative and productive in pursuing our visions. Therefore, if people ask how you are going to accomplish your dream, you don’t have to try to give them a full answer. Tell them you are trusting God for provision each step of the way. Then let God explain to them how it is going to be done. Purpose is your responsibility. Provision is God’s responsibility.Perhaps your dreams are so big they almost frighten you. You don’t see how they could ever come to pass. Let me assure you that your initial apprehension is normal. God often gives us dreams that confound us at first because He wants to make sure we don’t attempt to fulfill them apart from Him. If we try to do so, we won’t succeed, because the resources won’t be available. Many people who are doing something significant for God in the world are doing it without their own resources because God doesn’t want us to depend on our won abilities. Instead, He wants us to be obedient by putting the vision on paper and then looking to HIM to generate the funds and other resources that are needed to support HIS own work. Rest assured that God will never give you a vision without provision. We like to see the provisions before we start, but faith doesn’t work that way. When we take action, then God manifests the provision. I want to show you proof that everything you need has been provided for you already. Ephesians 1:3 Spiritual Blessings All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. God has already blessed you with everything you need. Where is it? It is in the heavenly realms, the spiritual world. Ephesians 1:4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God chose YOU!

Friday, June 18, 2010: Come on You're Almost There

I’ve been encouraged this week and I want to share with you that God has not forgotten about you. Sometimes we become impatient with God’s process because we can see our destinations, and we want to arrive there tomorrow. However I have learned that God has a route that will get you there, even though this route may seem long, it is not designed to keep us from our destinations, it is designed to prepare us for them. To be honest I’m learning the vision, the dream God has given, we are not yet ready for them. We don’t yet have the ability to handle the big things that we’re dreaming. I know you don’t like to hear that, and yes you say you’re ready, and may even say Satan is holding you back, but have you ever thought that you don’t have the experience or the character for them (your dream, vision, what you believe is your destination.) God is GOD and He could accomplish quickly what He desires to do through us, yet He wants to prepare us to receive and work our visions. We ask God, “Why do I need to go this way? I don’t like this route.” God answers that the route is going to do two things for us: 1. develop our character 2. produce responsibility in us We weren’t born with these things, so we have to learn them. Moreover, if God were to show us the route to where we are going, we might say, “That’s okay, God. You can keep the vision. I’ll stay right where I am. Remember the life of Joseph when he was 17, he had a dream from God in which his father, mother, and brothers were kneeling down before him (Genesis 37:9-10). Joseph thought to himself “Yes! I like this dream.” He sees himself up on a throne with a whole kingdom at his feet. In his mind, he was King Joseph. God gave him a vision, yet He didn’t tell him how he was going to get there. Suppose God told Joseph, you’re going to become a great ruler, and here is what I have planned for you to get there. First, your brothers are going to tear your favorite clothes right off your back. Second, they are going to throw you into a pit. Third, they are going to sell you as a slave. Fourth, your master’s wife is going to lie about you, accusing you of rape. Fifth, your master is going to have you put in jail, where you will be forgotten for a long time. However, eventually, you’ll get there.” If God had said that, Joseph probably would have replied, “I’ll tell you what. I’ll just stay a shepherd. I’m very happy where I am right now.” Again, I tell you don’t give up God is with you! Stay focus; hold on to God’s promises. There are many in the midst of a process and you’re wondering Where, What is going on, I believe Joseph thought the same thing when he found himself sitting in the pit, “Where is the God who showed me that dream?” I believe God’s reply to Joseph was “I’m with you in the pit, and I’m working on your character because you can’t rule without it.” Question, really answer. Do you really believe that God sees and knows everything? If you do, then you have to trust your hardships are part of his perfect plan for you. If you lost your job this morning, your first question may be, “How am I going to pay the mortgage?” Yet God will say to you, “Do you believe I know you?” If you answer, “Yes Lord,” He will say, “Good. It’s part of the plan. I’m working on your character. Let me take care of your mortgage.” Yesterday my husband and I went on a 10 mile walk/jog, on the way back I though Oh my God! I kept looking for a shorter way to return, my husband kept saying “come on you can make it” as I kept walking/jogging he (my husband) would say “Are you alright? Come on we’re almost there.” I closed my eyes and imagined God saying to me “Are you alright? Come on you’re almost there.” So I say to you, God sees and knows everything, TRUST HIM, you’re almost there! Friday, June 11, 2010-Faith + Storm=SLEEP "Mornings with Tawanda"

Our spirits were designed to operate as God operates. In Genesis 1:26, God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness.” The word “image” refers to moral and spiritual character, while the phrase “in our likeness” means “to function like.” In other words, we were created to live according to the nature of God and to function as He functions in the world. The Bible is very clear that “without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6). If you try to function in any other way than faith, you will malfunction. That is why worry is ungodly and fear makes your vision short-circuit. You were never meant to be afraid. Here we go again the tongue!! Words!! And know we add THINKING! Thoughts are the most important, and words are the most powerful. Jesus was filled with faith, and He was the calmest person on earth. He slept soundly in the middle of a storm. When His frightened disciples woke Him up, He asked them, “Do you still have no faith” (Mark 4:40). He was telling them, “If, you have faith, you’ll be able to sleep during the storm, as well.” You may be saying, “This doesn’t sound very practical.” We are to believe that, ultimately, everything is on our side. Even the schemes of the devil work to our benefit. All things work for the good, because I (you) are called according to God’s purpose. (Romans 8:28) Romans 8:28 (New Living Translation) 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together[a] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. How does faith work? To understand faith we must examine closely how God functions. Jeremiah 1:12 (New Living Translation) 12 And the Lord said, “That’s right, and it means that I am watching,[a] and I will certainly carry out all my plans.” God says, “I am watching over My word to perform it.” This verse along with others in the Bible-demonstrates, God will always bring His word into being. What did God use to create the universe? He used words. All through the account of Creation, we read, “God said “God had an idea for the universe, and then He saw or visualized it. Finally, He spoke His idea into existence. Nothing on earth is more important than a thought. Thoughts are more important than words because words are produced from thoughts. Yet while thoughts are the most important things on earth, words are the most powerful. While thoughts design a future, words create that future. Nothing happens until you start talking. Creative power is not in the thoughts alone. It is in the words (and actions) that come from them. So why do you live by fear again? God has given you the power through Jesus Christ. We all should be able to relax and sleep through a storm, for we live by faith and not by sight. Faith sees problems as opportunities. Life is all about the way you see it! You have the KEY use it! Thursday, June 10, 2010- Oh No The Tongue! "Mornings with Tawanda"

Peace is still today! To enjoy peace your tongue must be controlled. We all have heard you are what you speak, the more wisdom I am blessed with, the more I apply Gods word to control my tongue. How can something so small release peace and cause destruction? The tongue, though it is very small member of the body, has enormous power for good or evil. It must be controlled continually. So today enjoy the peace the Lord has blessed you with only the Holy Spirit within us can bring this destructive force under control, submit! God has given you the KEY use it! James 3:7-12 (New Living Translation) 7 People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, 8 but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. 10 And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! 11 Does a spring of water bubble out with both fresh water and bitter water? 12 Does a fig tree produce olives, or a grapevine produce figs? No, and you can’t draw fresh water from a salty spring.[a] Proverbs 12:18, 25 (English Standard Version) Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing… An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up. Proverbs 21:23 (New Living Translation) 23 Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble. 1 Peter 3:10 (New Living Translation) 10 For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Proverbs 13:3 (New Living Translation) 3 Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything. Colossians 4:6 (English Standard Version) 6Let your speech always(A) be gracious,(B) seasoned with salt,(C) so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
