Apparently I haven't posted a blog on here since August - so this is well over-due!! Much is happening but first up I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has posted lovely comments on this page! So wonderful to hear such positive feedback, and incredibly motivating, so again, thank you all! And also to everyone who is following us on our various pages - your support means a great deal to me and the guys in the band :)
This year has been pretty exciting so far! We are in the throes of album three and hope to release this later on in the summer. Expect a couple of brand new videos and some additional gig dates as we promote the album Ideal Imperfections with a tour.
We've played a few great rock gigs recently. We love going to our local venues to play, but it was brilliant to play at Springfest (held in Haddenham, part of the Cambridge Rock festival)) at the end of May. What a gig! An early start for us but we all had plenty of energy to kick things off for the third day of the rock fest!
Our next festival will be at Napton next month. We also have a slot at Kent VW fest and further rock and acoustic gigs coming up...check our events section or FB events page for updated info.
Lastly I would like to wish our bass player Edd a speedy recovery and express a big thank you to our dep Steve for standing in for us at our recent gigs!
See you all at a gig soon!! :) Jo xx
So, we’ve played a few music festivals this year and had an absolute blast. My personal favourite was the fest at Firsdown; an event put on near Salisbury by people with real passion for live music. The audience reaction to our set was really awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting to the crowds afterwards. As well as Firsdown we also recently played the VW festival in Kent - despite the rain teaming down we were, thankfully, in a tent...the audience bustled in and really got into it! We’ve played some local gigs too at some of our favourite venues; we do love to see our local following at these events :) What’s coming up…? Well we are scheduling another video shoot for our tune, Perfect, Like You. This will be shot by Josh Armstrong and I’ll get to do some acting - so excited! We’ve been nominated for an NMG Award by Cambridge 105! Check this out for more info….http://www.nmgawards.com/?p=136 We also have some more gigs lined up so it would be amazing to see some of you guys there - check out our events page for details. A huge thank you to everyone who has followed us/liked us and continues to share our journey with us. This wouldn’t be possible without you! Jo xxx
Our eagerly awaited album is due to be released over the coming weeks! We're just in the throes of working on the album artwork and as none of us are 'art'ists in that respect it's going to be random/interesting/weird! But anyway, hopefully you will all like it lots! It will include tracks from our previous EPs plus a few extras and we're very excited about its release! While I'm here I'm sending everyone who continues to support us and join our journey a massive thank you. It goes without saying that we are so, so grateful to you all. Hope to see you at a coming gig soon! Jo xx
This year has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride - and for all its ups and downs I confess I am loving every minute of it! A slightly difficult few months and then this Saturday we played a local gig and the crowd reaction was phenomenal! The atmosphere in the pub was amazing and we couldn't have had a better evening - so firstly a big thank you to everyone who came to the Flintknappers in Brandon and rocked out all night with us! I'd also like to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported us from the early days and continued to support us throughout our journey. It's a ride I don't want to get off and, as long as you guys are all part of it, long may it continue! Cheers all and see you at a future gig - they're rolling in so keep an eye on our events pages on Reverbnation and Facebook!! Jo x
