About Cornucopia

"Cornucopia" is a multi-genre compilation album consisting of R&B, Gospel, Neo-Soul, Jazz, Funk, Blues, Poetry, and Rap. As a musician, I have had the blessing to have worked extensively in each of these genres, and as a producer/songwriter, I have a vast amount of inspiration (a "cornucopia" of creativity if you will) to tap into. My work can be viewed along the same lines as some of the artists who i consider to be my inspiration: Quincy Jones, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Israel Houghton, Herbie Hancock, Gil Scott-Heron, and Jesus Christ. My goal is to touch every man, woman, and child around the world at least once a day through my music..

What am i thankful for?

wow such a loaded question, where do I start? I'm thankful for God, consistently keeping me very alive and very well, even when i don't deserve to be either. I'm thankful for my family and friends, with all their flaws, for being my personal support system and putting up with me, with all my flaws even when at times i get on their nerves (and vice versa). I'm thankful for music being consistent in my life for the past decade. people and things come and go, just like the tide's ebb and flow, and music has been there for it all. I'm thankful for you, my supporters, colleagues, mentors, and students. I am growing right in front of your eyes, and you have been right there to give me the nourishment i need to keep running. i am blessed to have you in my life, and i hope to one day touch your soul with my music. I'm also thankful for those who criticize what i do. I've come to learn that if you can have friends, you can have enemies. and God consistently prepares tables before me in your presence. i am blessed to have you in my life, and i hope to one day touch your soul with my music. ...so what are you thankful for? -Michael
