Dirt Road Blues / Blog

nobody knows you when your down and out

George and Nige were mucking about with this old classic blues track and came up with an interesting take on it. George trying out his new Danneker harps and enjoying them. I found some of my daughters old drum sticks lying around and an old cow bell so the rhythm track was easily sorted.

hollowbody on reverbnation

we're going to use reverbnation as our main internet location. They seem to have got there act together from the outset, not like myspace who are floundering around clueless trying to catchup. How do I get the rest of the guys to contribute to this blog? good question.. I'll have to work on that one. We've never been the most actively gigging band around but when we do get a gig we are very well prepared. We had 2 gigs at the end on November which put us in a bit of a panic as we usually just do 1 per month however we came through with flying colours. aye true professionals. Best news this year so far .. .. drum roll .. is that .. wait for it .. Aikmans Bar St Andrews looks to be opening up again, gasp gasp. Hard to believe that they have been shut for the best part of 2 years. This was a criminal act and we at hollowbody towers demand that heads should roll. 2 years in mourning, I'm sure you can tell that we were greatly affected by this tragic event. however, life goes on and Aikmans is rising slowly and steadly from the grave. Our favourite gig of all time and we sincerely hope it gets back into normal operation as fast as poss. Have a lovely Christmas time, good cheer to you your friends and family and we hope to meet up again in 2011 possibly at Aikmans or some other bluesy hangout around Scotland.
