The Otterbein Community Concert Series....

I'm so excited to be just a couple of days before the launch of the Otterbein Community Concert Series. I did a similar series in Muncie, and it was very rewarding for the community, the artist, and the venue.

We've got the PERFECT venue for Otterbein, the Otterbein United Methodist Church, a turn of the century restored Church in Greenfield, Indiana. The Church is beautiful and the acoustics are awesome.

And we've got an awesome headliner for our first concert, Ted Yoder, from Chicago. Ted is an amazing artist and a great guy, and we're certainly looking forward to spending some time with him. You can learn more about Ted at his website, http://91strings.com please stop by and pay it a visit!

Feel free to drop us a note at PatchworkMusic@ymail.com if you've got any questions. Looking forward to seeing some of our friends on Saturday night!

Family Ties....what a great evening!

Last night, we here so honored to be playing as part of Family Ties:An Evening of Irish Music to benefit the Holy Family Shelter.

I wish I had the words to describe how wonderful the whole experience was. We started the day playing on Monument Circle in beautiful, sunny spring weather. We all really enjoyed visited with the folks as they strolled around the circle, or sat and listened as they ate lunch.

We especially enjoyed visiting with 1 year old Eve and her family....Eve was such a treat...clapping along and keeping time with the music...at ONE year old. I believe she has a great future in front of her.

At the Civic Theatre, we had a great time and were able to raise over $500.00 for the Holy Family Shelter. We saw some friends we'd not seen for a while, and made some new ones. Time well spent.

As an added bonus, the Indianapolis Star was there taking photos. Here's a link for those who might be interested: http://photos.indystar.com/galleries/slides/9124?page=6

Happy Thursday, everyone!

Wow, what a weekend!!!

What a fantastic weekend Patchwork had!

Many of you know that we're playing the "Family Ties" show on St Patrick's day at the Indianapolis Civic Theatre with Caitie Rose and Lec Zorn. Saturday, we had a rehearsal with the Irish Motion dancers who will also be be joining us.

Early Saturday evening, we performed for the Holy Family Homeless Shelter. Both Holly and I especially enjoy playing for kids, and they sure enjoyed joining in the sing alongs and clapping along with the jigs and reels.

Saturday evening, we hosted a show at Bridgewater Sports Cafe' in Carmel which was GREAT fun! After a few technical challenges...which were quickly overcome with the help of some new friends...we had the house rockin' with a full dance floor all night long!

Add to a rehearsal and 2 gigs, two geocaching activities and some errand running, this Sunday evening finds us ready to crash and prepare for the busy week ahead.

Happy Sunday evening, everyone!

Big changes for Patchwork!!
