Unfortunately Ancient Addicts have decided to call it a day for the time being. We would like to thank all of our fans for their support over the last few years, but ask you to watch this space as nobody knows what the future holds.
We have had a great time, written some great music together and had the pleasure of recording a studio album with the great Dave Draper of Tower Studios.
Our music will be available online for many years to come and we hope that you will continue to enjoy the fruits of our labour.
We ask you all to take care of yourselves!
Peace and Love to all.
Dan, Si and James.
Howdo. Thought I would take the time to inform you of our plans for this year. Then come New Year you can judge us on whether we hit our goals. First off we welcome our new drummer James 'Peach' Hughes. He played his first gig in 6 years last month at Mappfest and did really well. Everyone very happy. Our main goal this year, aside from playing the usual lineup of Worcester Music Fest and Malvern Rocks in the Summer will be to release an independant album. We know we can do this ourselves without breaking the bank. Carnival Records have said they will stock whatever we put out and we will be distributed online World wide in all relevant outlets. We also have something that's been rumbling on for bloody years that could come to fruition, or then again it could not, that's how I feel about it, but my hands are tied so it remains secret. Sorry, I can't wait to announce it if goes through. That's all for now, have a great year and I hope all your plans reach completion. Peace and love always Si xxxxxxxxx
Good day. Well after we reformed back in December 2011 we have achieved this year what we set out to do. Which was basically write new material, play some gigs and do some recording. So what next, 2013? Providing the world doesn't end. We may be increasing to a four piece with a new drummer and Jimbo moving onto second guitar. We've had a few jams with a new guy and there has been progress. There has also been rumours of a small deal to release a single with 2 b-sides but we're touching wood and hoping not to jinx that. Regardless of the outcome of that we hope to release some independantly produced material which should reflect what you have been witnessing in the bars and venues we have played this year. That's about it for now. Some festivals in 2013 would be nice but we'll just have to see. Peace and love Si ps. I will have been sober for 7 weeks this Friday which will be a record.
