...So, as I had mentioned a few months back, I have reached the point in recording on my 2'nd album to where all the initial tracks have been recorded, & I've taken things about as far as I can, & I have since been looking to enlist the help of some fellow musicians, namely ones that are fluent with the violin, cello, oud(a Greek stinged instrument), and possibly a female vocalist to lend some vocals & lyrics to a couple of the songs. So now, I am putting out the call to any musicians that are out there, wherever you may be located, that if you have a capability to record wherever you are, & would like to participate in a on-line collaboration, please feel free to contact me for details, either here at Reverbnation or my e-mail: email@example.com. I think that it would be an exciting opportunity to collaborate with other musicians within the US, or in other parts of the world, that could help me complete this album. I thank you all for your continued support & encouragement, & I hope to bring you a finished product soon! Blessed Be.
Greetings everyone! With the ongoing process that has been bringing together material for my 2'nd album, I'm excited to pass along the news that I have reached the point of finishing initial recording of the tracks, & have taken them about as far as I can. So THAT means, it's time to put out a call for some fellow musicians that can help me put the finishing touches on some things, & add some elements that are outside my capabilities. This is an exciting, & little bit scary point for me, as I never thought that this little solo thing of mine would, or could get to this point. This could be the beginnings as well of finding some musicians to back me so that I (we) can actually start performing this material live. Something I've been wanting to do for awhile now. It's amazing to me again how this whole thing started a few years back with what essentially was just some song ideas, & it's now starting to blossom in new directions. As always, I am forever grateful to friends, family, fans & peers that have encouraged me & supported me in this endeavor since the beginning. I wouldn't have gotten to this point without you, & I thank you.
As for an album title, I haven't settled on anything yet. Many ideas have come & gone over the last few years in putting this together, but I think it will be one of those things that will come to me once everything is finally finished. At this point there is still no set release date for the album. There's still some recording to be done once I find the accompanying musicians, & then of course mixing & mastering, album artwork, all that good stuff. I'm hoping by spring of 2017 at the latest, as I'm anxious & excited about taking this to the next level.
I know this has taken awhile, but I think it will be worth the wait. I will of course keep you informed as progress continues on. Until then, Happy Halloween (Samhain) everyone. Blessed Be!
Well, here we are. After, 3, almost 4 years later now, and what started out as merely an idea, or vehicle, for putting together some bass demos, has turned into this lol. Wow. Who woulda thought? Surely not me, that's for sure. Not then anyway. But, so far, I've been receiving some very positive feedback from folks, & this has inspired as of late for sure, so looks like some exciting things are ahead in the near future.
First of all, I'm excited, & humbled, to announce, that I now have some t-shirts available for sale. Many thanks to Reverbnation for making this possible so easily, I love it lol.
Secondly, as of the second week in June, I am slated to make a trip to Des Moines, IA., where I will be spending the day in Pendleton Studios, working with some folks from The Greenlight Firm, on recording a single, that if successful in turning the heads of the company, might lead to some bigger things on more of a national scale. We'll just have to wait and see how that turns out I guess. :-)
As for right now, the other thing I will begin work on, will be organizing a couple of other musicians to join my "clan", as it were, so that we can go out and begin performing some of the material live, & bringing me face to face with y'all, which is both exciting, and a little scary, as I've never performed in a "solo" capacity, as it were, but as I'm finding out on a regular basis once again, there's a first time for everything huh? :-)
So hopefully, by the time summer's in full swing, I'll see about having some shows booked here & there around the St. Louis area, schedule permitting of course, as my main priority, is still manning the bassist slot for grunge tribute band Flannel, which I love dearly, & things are looking to be pretty busy in that capacity as well. So good things are coming, to be sure. Also have a couple ideas in mind for another video or two, which now that I've finally got the album for sale on-line, I can turn my attention back to some things on the creative side again. So be on the look-out for that as well. Until then, I wish you all the best, and as always, thank you for your support and friendship, it is greatly appreciated by me. See you soon!
Blessed Be mf
