gofundme campaign going strong to raise money for my new CD

I haven't recorded new music to bring to you in over a year. But for my next project I want to go bigger and better. My plan is go into a top notch studio, which I've never done before, and lay down 6 tracks with a live band. (Studio Chosen-Sound Temple Studio in Asheville: This will capture the live feel that my previous recordings lack. Anyone who has seen me peform knows that my live performances capture an energy that needs to be given justice. Many of my new songs are funky and fun and thats just what I want to portray on my next record. I have a great rhythm section both Berklee College of Music grads to come help lay down the tunes and local sax player to help!

For the $5000 goal I am shooting for, funds will be split as follows: $3000-4000 for recording, mixing, and cd printing $1-2000 for PR campaign to promote the new record

I plan to hit the studio on Nov 12! So my deadline for the funds is by the end of November. So far, in one week I have raised over $1100. I am thrilled by your response! Any amount you can contribute is appreciated, from $10 and upwards! My vision of going big will be a reality with your help! CONTRIBUTE by going to WWW.GOFUNDME.COM/JORDANOKREND

The band made me proud last thursday night at #Bowery Electric, NYC in an hour set that completely rocked. Captured this intimate video that night of Go My Way which strikes a chord as just a day later the stuff exploded in Paris. This song is meant to spread a light, to see the power of the human spirit and the vitality of life despite the darkness that you see. Watch the live video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyQj8UjGB6U Watch the official video filmed in the subways of NYC, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=istda0OtX_4 Peace to everybody. Best Review Yet! IndieMinded! 10/8/15

“With a songwriting structure that uses advanced acoustic guitar playing to draw listeners in before layering with additional instruments and soul-stirring lyrics, World Keeps on Turnin’ fires on all cylinders. Okrend’s blues based guitar solos throughout are comparable to John Mayer’s style of using the guitar more than the vocals to convey the raw emotion of a song. It is something many guitarists try, but very few pull off. With a promising future and nothing but room to continue to develop, singer-songwriter Jordan Okrend is bound to make his mark on the music industry.”
