Spring and summer concerts are shaping up! Thank you Herbert Blasewitz and Bonnie Ecker for asking us back to play for the Athens Street Festival and Coxsackie Riverside Festivals again this year. One of the best things about living in this area are the riverside concerts and summertime festivals. It's great knowing so many people out there enjoy what we do and keep inviting us back. Thank you all for sharing your events with us. We'll see you soon!

If you haven't checked out Crossroads Brewery in Athens, you should do it now! The time is right. The place looks great, the beer is award winning, they have live music, great selection of craft brews... including root beer. Join us FEB 25th! Acoustic Crooked Toe and award winning beer. You can't lose!

Once again, the warmer weather is upon us! Spring and summer festivals are in motion. Just added to the calendar: Athens Street Festival (July 9th) & Coxsackie Riverside Festival (August 13th). As usual, The annual “Fireworks Over The Creek” events will be held in Catskill with JP & Friends. Check us out at several Catskill Farmer's Markets on Main Street. Plus, we won’t forget those backyard BBQ’s and private parties you invited us to! We’re looking forward to every single performance.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Anthony Vescio for his rhythm, saxophone, and PA set-up skills at the Catskill Wine, Beer, and Cheese Festival. Couldn't have pulled it off without him. Thanks to Lex Grey for her support and Victor for his awesome guitar playing. As always, Jack kept us groovin' on bass guitar. And an old friend, Phil, stopped by for some blues harp. We had a great time! Didn't hurt that Crossroads Brewery set up their booth directly behind us! Made for a tasty day.
Thanks again for all your continued support and enthusiasm for great local music! See you soon.

Maybe you caught us a couple times already, or plan on joining us on May 5th for our Cinco de Mayo celebration. But don't forget that EVERY Thursday has live music from local bands. It's the Thursday Invitational at Tatiana's in Catskill!
This week, JP & Friends turns to Eddie Fingerhut to take the lead with his acoustic set of classic rock. JP on rhythm guitar, and Anthony Michael on percussion. See you there!

There is plenty to be thankful for this year, and more greatness on the horizon. Two noteworthy accomplishments already: the birth of my son, and the long awaited debut EP from the original Crooked Toe!
Although I will be taking some time off this winter to be with my boy, progress is being made on the next JP & Crooked Toe release and you can count on us returning to the scene after the new year.
In the meantime, check out the original debut album recorded by Grammy nominated recording engineer, Scott Petito, with Andrew Wheeler on lead guitar, Jack Edwards on electric bass, and Matt Carey on drums. Awesome musicians!
Available soon at CDbaby.com/johnpinder and DigStation.com/johnpinder.

Excellent turnout for the Wine and Cheese Festival in May, and a rockin' good time at the Red Square for B-BASH 2010! Spring makes way for Summer!
Special thanks to Chris Snykus and the boys of Big Shoe. Also, Ben Karis-Nix and Dan Sorensen of the BKN Band. Of course, we owe a lot to the staff at Red Square and everyone who joined the party. So thank you all!
There are a couple more summertime concerts, complete with fireworks and ice cream, so head to Catskill on August 7th and September 4th for some family fun and live music (7-10pm). And don't forget about the Farmer's Market on Main Street every Saturday morning in Catskill (9pm-2pm). Eddie and I will be hanging out and playing some acoustic jams!
Have a great summer everybody! Check the gig calendar for occassional shows in Albany and surrounding areas.
Rock on!

Special thanks to my bandmates: Laura, Chris, and Eddie... you guys (and gal) rock! JP can't do it without his Crooked Toes. Let's do this again, everybody! See you next time. Check the schedule for the next show near YOU!
