So many days have come and gone, another year has passed And lord knows, when I was young, I thought I wouldn't last But the lord above has given me a song, today, to sing And many people tell me, of the joy, my music brings To all of you who have shown me love, I thank you, from my heart You're what keeps me going..and have been, from the start But to those of you, who have doubted, from the present and the past Who have ridiculed, put me down, and in my face you laughed To you, I have no warm wishes....but I say, with all due class Come on over, pucker up, and you can kiss my ass
Happy birthday, to me!!!
I don't understand why putting this band together is presenting so many problems. But I guess you have to find the right people. Professional, MATURE, individuals. I believe the core of my band is complete. I need 2 more guys....anybody know a keyboard player, and a bassist? I gotta say, just with the guys I have, we are having a BLAST. We played out on Bardstown Rd, on Sunday. And although, things didn't go exactly to plan, we STILL had a great day, and put on a great show. The people LOVED us! ;) Here's to the future! We are the strong, and only the strong survive!
I now have a BANGIN rhythm section. I've been through a few guitar players, that had to go, for various reasons. Auditioning more guitars today, as well as a keyboard player. We will see how it goes.
Ok....back on March 18th, I posted how FREAKIN EXCITED I am....this is why: I have a music profile, set up on several different music sites. One of those being 'Music X-ray'. This site is, essentially, a search engine for music industry p...ros, to seek out and find new music, for different projects. (placement on the radio, various contract deals, placement in movies, representation, distribution, etc.) They also have it set up, where the artist can submit music to these deals...and some of them are free, although, those mainly consist of music critiques, career coaching, things of that nature. I regularly submit to the free ones...lol. And have received feedback, both good and bad, that I have tried to apply to my music. Around March 18th, I submitted a song to one such opportunity. Which resulted in one of my songs being produced by the LEGENDARY Stuart Epps!!! This man has produced records for some the LEGENDS of ROCK...The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Oasis...the list goes on and on! His resume spans more than 50 years! And he LOVED my voice and he LOVED my song "Come back to me". So, between working on his clients music and planning a wedding, he produced my song. The result is more than I could have hoped for. Please, listen and share this song with everybody you can. It is available for free download. So, pick it up, and take it with you! This could be the step I needed to take. :)
I am currently searching for a guitarist, lead/rhythm, bass guitar, and keyboard/piano player. In or near, Louisville, Ky. I just re-posted my ad on craigslist, 3/25/2012, so you can check that out for full details, message me here, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. THANKS! -James Strong
Ok...I was advised, that, as a new artist, it would be a wise move to post my newest songs, as I record them. Doing this will open up my fan base, encouraging people to listen and share my music with others, as my skills progress. SO, without further adieu, I present "Fall into me": un-mastered. If you like it, please share it. And leave a comment...criticism is always accepted...complements are always adored :) Thanks
I am about halfway through the next album. It's coming along smoothly. I know I've said this before, but this one is going to be so much better, production-wise, than the first one. I learned alot making that one, and I love it, but this one's gonna be better. My newest song, "One more round", which I've posted, has already been heard by someone who places songs on TV and in MOVIES! I should be hearing from them, about a project, next week! That's pretty cool! :)
I have got to say...the outpour of support I've been getting from my devoted fans, and music professionals is just overwhelming. I can't thank you guys enough.
