Silver to Dust

Seven AM and the sun begins to try Casting a shadow before the light falls down An old song another year gone Simple is the feeling, it's just hard you know Like turning from silver to dust The whole world looking down on your fall You can't cash in what you've left behind A cigarette heavy air and down you float All the visions of old have turned cold The movies no longer touch your soul All the screens have a swift in color and running as a child sent away for the last time Home has turned from silver to dust... Howling, in comes the wind as he turns to hop upon the train Nowhere bound and half broke Yet as the wheels move neath him there seems to be a light creeping in through the cool dessert air He smiles to himself knowing when it seems your going nowhere there is still a motion and everything goes from silver to dust and back somehow...
