Not Right Now

Nefrektomy is on indefinite hold. If you need to hear more from singer/guitarist Michael Atkinson, check out reverbnation.com/twenty6hundred

Back at it! Aboot fookin time son!

Our alternative project Another Fine Mess has run it's course and Glen and I are back at the Nefrektomy anvil hamming out some live arrangements of our tunes, attempting to fill up the empty space in our lineup and get our shit wire tight to be able to bring out brand of metal to the masses. In the interim we'll be posting the occasional live rehearsal recording here (more for us really so we don't have to email files around)... but you'll get a chance to listen to us figure our shit out and hopefully give you an impression of what it's going to be like when we hit a stage. The first of these tunes Burn Witch Burn from our rehearsal Oct 21st 2012 is online and although it's a little bumpy here and there and goes off on a progressive tangent at the end... it's pretty representative of our vibe. Just imagine it a bit tighter as you're listening to it and make sure you turn it up REALLY fooking loud. :)

Nefrektomy Will Rise

We've been a bit sidetracked in 2010 by the resurfacing of an old project we were in called Another Fine Mess and have been taking the chops we cultivated as Nef and using them to perform tunes from our Punk rock past. We'll be back though, we can hear the METAL calling... we just have a beast we need to feed at the moment. Also, we've decided that Nefrektomy will remain a 2-piece FOREVAH! Thanks for loaning us your ears.

Rough Winter

Nef had a really rough winter with illness and personal tragedy ruling the day. With most of it behind us now we should be able to get back to writing and demoing more tunes. Currently we are looking for a bassist and guitarist to help us make our metal vision a reality. Contact us if you dig the tunes and fit the bill.

The Next Step.

Nef are still writing and demoing tunes which will continue throughout early 2010. Currently we are a two piece outfit with Glen Atkinson on drums and Michael Atkinson on guitars, bass and vocals. Eventually we'll be looking to have a bassist and guitarist help us realize our tunes in a live format for a proper studio recording session. So, if the tunes strike you and you have the chops to keep up, drop us a line. Our intentions are to make a kicking release and spam it across record companies and radio stations throughout Europe and South America.

Rebooted

Glen and I have been busy all summer writing and demoing new tunes for a future release. To test the waters we spent an afternoon at Shocker Sound in Richmond Hill with our good friend Jim Burdon from TWENTY6HUNDRED.

Anyway we successfully completed our first proper studio demo with Jim's assistance and have posted our first tune here on Reverbnation.

Make sure to tell us what you think and if you like it, spread the word.

Cheers Mike
