Yesterday I had an on-air interview with the Untapped Show on KAZI FM in Austin, TX. It marked the first official radio spin for my new track, "A Song for You".
Hi Thee Phantom - I’m Andrew Fox, Artistic Director of Stacks of Wax Production. Thanks so much for your submission, “The Entertainer”. What an awesome track. Fantastic rapping, solid beat, strong chorus melody (and that soprano descant line in the verse is unbelievably gorgeous). The mix functions really well, and I think the aesthetic you’re going for is really cool and is an avenue that hasn’t been fully explored yet. It’s a very smart, well-done composition & recording. You’re doing really cool stuff and I’d love to hear more of it. I checked out your EPK and I liked what I heard. If you’re ever interested in working collaboratively, bouncing ideas, or consulting a second set of ears, Stacks of Wax would love to help. Thanks so much for sending; it’s a cool song with great ideas and I had a blast listening and re-listening to it. Best, Andrew Fox Artistic Director Stacks of Wax Production
Finished my track, "Sweet Dreams". Added the original Annie Lennox vocals as a nice touch.
Working on the next album, "Maniac Maestro". This album will feature some of my most adventurous orchestrations yet. "The Entertainer", features opear singer Sophia Jaber and me on the keys doing my best Chopin rendition. Stay tuned...
