Happy January baby!
Our next show is Friday night, January 25th, 2013 at the Magic Bag in Ferndale, Michigan USA, performing for Stewart Francke’s CD Release party for his great new CD, “Love Implied.” The show features the cool Jeff Scott and his band, our full band, and then Stewart and his band take the stage – brilliant night planned. This show is a nice repeat for Stewart and us from our summer Magic Bag show a few years ago ..we're also putting the final touches on the new recordings coming out soon and the new video is here, released last November, 2012, “Promised Land/Sitara” can be seen at in this site and also at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0oeC3pLLLY

2011-2012 dates also include Detroit's Magic Stick, Hard Rock Cafe, Marquette's Upfront and Company, Como's, Mario's, Dylan's Raw Bar, several other Festivals, signing with North Star Media, shooting video with a the ARTE German/French company, recording the new album, we're now beginning work on 2 new videos.

A wildly cool summer - Mackinac Island’s Music Festival was fantastic. The show was on a stunningly beautiful night at the Inn at Stonecliffe, gorgeous grounds with a view of the Mackinac Bridge and a great big fun group of people and musicians –wining and dining to 2 sets each by myself, super guitarist Scott Dailey and the vibrant Audra Kubat.
Thank you to Mackinac Island, Mary McGuire, Michelle Chenard, and Mark Arminski – and the Inn at Stonecliffe. The songs rang out over the Great Lakes!…and friends from Detroit and new friends on Mackinac Island x
Back downstate, we just finished a great night at the Farmington Rhythmz in Riley Park and our violinist Kurt moved to Korea! With Dave Dion on bass, Bonnie Kaye and Josh Stokes on violins too, and Ron Wolf on percussion, the night was full of surprises - Special thanks to the City of Farmington-the kids were fantastic and a big crowd!
Next Carolyn Striho Group show is Arts Beats and Eats in downtown Royal Oak on a big Labor Day, Monday, September 5 – 5 to 6 pm on a huge event that features us with the infamous Cult Heroes and the marvelous world/Detroit artist Amp Fiddler – between the Psychedelic Furs, Tom Tom Club and George Clinton P Funk All Stars!
Come on down to Arts Beats and Eats on Labor Day Monday 5 pm at the Ford Focus Alternative Stage – by the Ferris Wheel and train tracks..
(Could MI-Fest also be in the picture?…Then we’re at Jazz at Trinity in Southgate, Michigan– a groovy charm of a show on Sunday, September 18… As a fan of church sound and architecture, this promises to be another great evening… early one, so you can still get up on Monday. thanks for the support – times are tough, Detroit is tough – and thanks to Don Was for the honor of playing the Concert of Colors' All Star Revue this summer – it was gorgeous and a great show downtown! x

And we're just starting - we had fun at River Days downtown Detroit and up in Charlevoix, in northern Michigan - last night was the Ann Arbor Summer Festival Top of the Park - stellar crowd, hot steamy weather, and super audience - next week is a slot on Detroit's Concert of Colors - a moonlight summer festival inside on Don Was' All-Star Revue - in between, the wonderful Wyandotte Street Art Fair on the River - a big August and an even bigger Autumn coming up - Hope this summer finds you getting some cool breezes in the heat, some love in the air, magic in your life and all promise of the rock prayer to you! x
