The eyes of the music world focus on New Orleans for two weeks in late April and early May, but not everyone can make it to town to experience 12 stages of virtually every style of music, the of fine arts and crafts and the huge array of Louisiana specialty foods. That's why organizers today announced that highlights from the 2011 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell will be broadcast on RollingStone.com May 7 and 8.
Beginning at 6 p.m. CST on both May 7 and 8, the high definition broadcast will include approximately 4 hours each night of performances, interviews, as well as a trip around the Fair Grounds to give viewers a glimpse at some of the elements that make Jazz Fest so special.
