Howdy Folks! I'm back in the land of Oz after another beaut US tour. There were so many great moments but a couple of highlights included being picked up in my mate Brian's brand new Audi convertible to be whizzed thru the streets of Manhattan in order to make my second gig in NYC that night. We had the top down looking up at the New York skyline. Ok, that had nothing to do with what I was actually there to achieve (play guitar pretty good like) but wow! It was was so much fun I thought I might actually insert into my contract from now on that from now on I will ONLY ride in a brand new Audi convertible when traveling in New York city... but then I thought that would just be scoffed at. How ridiculous. I probably should calm down and temper my demands somewhat. So yes, I suppose any late model German convertible will do.

(Editors note: except Volkswagen of course) (Geoff's note: never Volswagen, no) (Editors note: you're not supposed to chip in here you know) (Geoff's note: oh sorry. Well, other highlights were ... oops, I should start a new paragraph here shouldn't I?) (Editors note: Yes)

Other highlights were enjoying a sold out crowd at Eddie's Attic in Atlanta, playing a 1935 Nasho in Nashville, joining Randall Bramblett at the Black Swamp Festival in Ohio and jamming on selections from his awesome new 'Devil Music' album and finally my guitar workshop at Fur Peace Ranch where I had an Aussie face in the class! John from Sydney made the journey to southern Ohio and it was so great to be able to show him around. He had a blast too. We talked guitars, guitar music and guitar gear for days - yeehah!

...well we liked it.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA: Ok, I've been back less than a week and spending some much appreciated time with family but it's time to pack an overnight bag once again as Western Australia calls. I'm teaming up with old mate Chris Wilson for three shows in WA. We'll play at the Northshore in Perth Thursday Oct 1st, the Southwest Blues Club in Bunbury Sat Oct 2nd and then finishing in Albany at the White Star. We'll be doing our Box Of Blues duo featuring seperate sets and one together. If you're in WA or know some folks over there you can check out the deets at www.geoffachison.com

FESTIVALS: Check out the Sydney Blues & Roots Festival October 23-24. I'll be playing a set with our Sydney Souldiggers featuring Adrian Keating on violin and we'll also include gigs at Manly and Wollongong on that vist to the region. I'll be at the Maldon Folk Festival Fri Oct 30th and we also have the Bendigio Blues & Roots Festival coming up in November. That events kicks off with a BB King Tribute show at The Shamrock Hotel Fri Nov 6th and also I'll be bringing The Souldiggers for an outdoor gig at Rosalind Park Sat 7th too.

Acoustic Guitar Trio: Earlier this year I was asked to be a part of an Acoustic Guitar concert featuring Nick Charles, Paul Wookey and myself. Well, I'm a huge fan of those guys so I jumped at it. We'll be doing 3 gigs at regional Arts Centres Nov 20-21-22. The first is at Hamilton Performing Arts Centre Nov 20 then Portland Arts Centre Nov 21 and finishing up at Newham Mechanics Institute Nov 22. Both Nick & Paul are absolute masters so I'd better wrap this up and get practising! Meanwhile Queenscliff, Wodonga, East Gippsland, Fitzroy and Wangaratta are all on the radar too so I hope we'll be able to see y'all soon.

All the best gang ... Geoff
