Reverbnation Crowd Review

Couple of days ago, we sent our song "Live And Do" to Reverbnation crowd review. We need to know what people say about our music to improve another work in the future. Today we got the result and been excited reading the 20 reviews from the "Smart Crowds". They rated us "7.5" which is satisfying, since the team said "7.0" indicates the high quality track. Please check our press to see some of the comments. Cheers

Scaller 1991 (Story behind our 1st EP)

We just finished an EP titled "1991". It took half a year in 2012 to complete this album's production. The title "1991" defines a lot of things that connected to the band. Why 1991? You might simply guess "1991" was our birth year. Yes it is! We're 1991 born, but not just that. Its gotta be deeper than just a birth year for an EP title.

Here's a little history. 90's (especially 91) , was a start for another revolution in world music industry. Musicians were too bored playing crazy solos. They also clean up painted faces from the glam days and take less shower. That was the rise of Alternative Rock. Nirvana pops up and inspired other bands such as Smashing Pumpkins, Blind Melon, Goo Goo Dolls, etc. Underground Alternative Rock scene showed their presence to the industry. In 1991 Smashing Pumpkins released their "Gish" , followed by Pearl Jam's "Ten" which strengthened the Alternative Rock movement.  Partly as a reaction to grunge, british bands came up with term of Britpop/Britrock pioneered by The Stone Roses, Inspiral Carpet, etc. Bands such as Radiohead, Oasis, Blur and Pulp showed up influenced by British Pop music in the 60's and 70's. All the things they did back then, become a vital part in the history of Alternative Rock.

So yeah, 1991 is an important year for our music. Our birth date was just a compliment. We would like to bring back the energy of 90's (which quiet lost these days) to our music and combine it in the modern era. Note that the retrospective part was the "energy", how people got so excited playing music in 90's. In terms of musicality, we create our own sounds and style by not playing stuffs that already exists. This EP album made of attitude, responsibility and commitment. Our identity as musician, bound to this.
