Show in Brooklyn!

I got the most insane message today from Simon Mullin, an executive of HipFolkInc.com, affiliated with HipFolk Records, an indie label, asking me to open for a signed band, Rebecca Hart and the Sexy Children! Can't believe it! It's going to be a promotional event for the label. Exciiiiiiiiited! I've never opened or played with a signed act!

Also, I have a live broadcasted radio show tomorrow night at 8 on Gnarfel.com! Can't wait!

Radio!

Before my first show, I got a call from a friend back in Albany. "Geuss who I just heard on the radio? You!" I was floored! 99.5 the River was playing a clip of one of my songs and saying "Sara McDonald from Albany" with it! I was completely speechless! I'm now on the front page of wrve.com, and my plays on the site are going up! I'm being featured as the Local Spotlight Artist for two weeks! =D I can't believe it!

First showwwwwwwwwww!

Hey everybody! This went amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was at Redsquare, and we had the biggest draw of the night! The organization that got me the gig, Afton, said that they have never had an artist do so well ticket-wise on their first gig in all the years they've been around! I've never felt that amazing before, I was so comfortable and happy up there! I had so much fun! The crowd went nuts over me and Alanna's rendition of Beautiful by Akon, and when I rapped that got quite the response! When I played my original Our Date in History, people sang along to the chorus! This was by far the best experience I've ever had, and has completely reaffirmed my love for music! Afterward, people were yelling Encore! And people I didn't even know came up to me and asked if they could touch me! What??? That happened to me??!!?! A new gig should be in the works soon, this was such an amazing experience, I've never felt so right in my entire life!!!!
