We had a wonderful time singing and playing our way through 18 towns in Ireland and Scotland this summer. We hiked the 100 mile West Highland Way and visited some fine single malt whiskey distillerys in Scotland. I have learned about the importance of community in playing music. Irish music jams at the local pub has become one of my favorite avenues for sharing music. It's much more satisfying than performing at a show. We hope you are having a great summer as well.
We are gearing up for a trip to Iceland and the Faroe Islands. We have two goals in mind; we want to hike and we want to play music. Although we began to book local venues, we thought how wonderful it would be to play at the huts situated along the hiking trails so the music, the hike, and the journey all become part of each other. Perhaps even a song or two will be written along the way.
Our journey will take us to Reykjavik, Selfoss, Hella, Vik, and a four day hike in Landmannalaugar, Iceland. We will also be traveling to and hiking in the Faroe Islands. This journey will take us to Tórshavn, Saksun, Eiði, and Gjógv.
We will take plenty of photos along the way and perhaps a video or two.
I am happy to become your fan!
