Jim's October Prayer Letter

Hello and How are you? Please let me know if there is anything that I can pray for in your life. It’s been an awesome couple of months of ministry, receiving stock for the new CD’s (still not officially launched, but starting to get commercial orders – praise God!), wonderful ministry opportunities with many people making decisions and receiving prayer for their other needs. Please pray for God’s continuing anointing and power, safety for us as a family, closeness with God and ability to clearly hear his voice. Coming up this month (details on Facebook) is ministry in Adelaide – CSM Retreat for 2 days and preaching on Sunday, Newcastle concert and preaching, another concert in Newcastle for Radio Rhema, more preaching and singing in Sydney. As many of you know, God’s word is my delight and my passion for myself and my desire for other believers. Accordingly, I am excited that my blog (which will soon move to my new website) is getting hundreds of visits - http://jimpetersworship.wordpress.com/. New merchant facilities have also been added in the last month and so now I can accept mail orders and ministry support in that way. So I have attached a form if anyone would like to place an order for the new album. It trust everything is going well for you. I have been reminded during the past few months that in displaying joy and expecting victory I overcome adversity. I encourage you to be an overcomer with me. God bless you and kind regards, Jim

Jim's Prayer Letter

Well Howdy, Once again, thank you to all those who sent prayer requests last month. I have kept my promise and prayed for every one of you!! Great News today!!! My new album, “Let it Shine” has reached its 1st radio evaluation and I am led to believe that several tracks will begin to be used from next week by one of the country’s most prominent Christian radio stations. In addition, one of the songs will immediately be proposed for radio servicing, which as I understand it, means it will be one of a few select songs to go to all stations that have a Christian format. Thank you for your faithfulness in praying for the ministry that I’m involved in. It has been extremely exciting, and continues to be, with more people saved, healed (pretty much every week) and some wonderful testimonies of people going on for Christ, having made decisions when I previously visited. Recently, I have been at Swan Hill, Werris Creek, Gunnedah and this week I’m off to Benalla in Victoria. Other ministry will be in Sydney, Cooma, Bombala and Coffs Harbour. Please pray for safety for Julie, the family and me in travelling, for God to keep me on a short reign, for me to hear his voice daily and that I walk by faith and in the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank God for all he is doing in saving, healing and delivering people. Thank him for his miraculous provision and for his faithfulness. Thank him for his guidance and for the amazing country we live in. Thank him for the opportunities that he continues to provide and for wisdom. Please let me know how I can pray for you. God bless you and kind regards, Jim

Jim's July Report & Prayer Request

Howdy!! Please drop me a line, let me know how you’re going and how I can pray for you. It’s also exciting to hear what God has done. I’ve been praying for a number of you over the past months and I love to hear good reports... Maybe you’ve even got something I can share with everyone!! I am so pleased that God is continuing to change me. Just when I think i might be doing OK, he sends a new set of challenges and with them the power of his Spirit to deliver me from both the situation and the things in my life that are still holding me back. What a great week I just spent at the Hillsong Conference where God showed up to change things that have been holding me back for years. He’s never done with me and he never leaves me or forsakes me. Well, more good news!! I have had a wonderful month of ministry in June, seeing many people set free, saved, healed and excited about what God can do in their lives. On top of that the NEW ALBUMS ARE READY, well perhaps not quite on the shop shelves, but the master is complete, Rebecca Csoke has done a brilliant job on the artwork, the musicians and production is amazing and, if you like, you can hear some samples on MySpace – http://www.myspace.com/jimpetersprasieandworship. I’m also beginning to take orders for those who are interested.... so it’s an exciting time! This month is set aside for being a grandpa again. Our eldest daughter is on the cusp of giving us a new baby any day now and I intend to be around home and available. I will also be following up on the album production and be involved at our church for a nice change. The rest of the year is looking really busy in parts... so please pray that God will open the appropriate doors and prepare us for the rest of the year. Please pray for our family and for Fiona and the new baby for a safe arrival and that things will go well. This verse has been so encouraging to me this week and I would like to leave you with it – so God bless you and your family and thank you again for praying... Deuteronomy 33:26-29 - 26 “There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, Who rides the heavens to help you, And in His excellency on the clouds. 27 The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, ‘Destroy!’ 28 Then Israel shall dwell in safety, The fountain of Jacob falone, In a land of grain and new wine; His heavens shall also drop dew. 29 Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, The shield of your help And the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall submit to you, And you shall tread down their high places. (NKJ)

Touring the Big Wide World

Now here's an interesting twist, having the opportunity to write an article on one of life's great accidents - touring overseas. Well, it was a life goal, but the way it happened was nothing short of a series of wonderful coincidences. Accordingly, I think the first step is to have goals that are impossible and entrust them to God. In this post modern society where God is often excluded from society, I have found no greater power to base my life upon than that of Jesus Christ. The suggestion of a tour of the USA first came up when my record distribution company suggested a tour of the USA, attending a certain festival. The plans for this event just couldn't be put in place in time, but the thought was planted. The real motivator, however, was much greater than the encouragement from the record company. As truth would have it, my wife had always wanted to spend Christmas in New York, which led to me looking into how we might be able to go, including taking advantage of the export grants available from Austrade. Then I believe God spoke to me about going to a Hillsong conference where I would meet someone from New York and it would lead to ministry. You might think, "Oh sure!" But, that's exactly what happened and now one of my best friends lives on the other side of the world and has invited me back, not only to minister at his church, but also at others in the region. On the first occasion, his call was followed by an invitation to go to Singapore, a visit to our church by Robert Barriger from Peru which led me to spending a week in the poor outskirts of Lima and Pisco, where God did amazing things. Finally, through a couple of friends, I was able to arrange some ministry in the South of England, I had some meetings with radio, distributors and my publisher in the UK and next thing you know, I had a world tour. To top that off, the record distribution company heard that I was now going to England, sent some songs to Christian radio in the UK, and one of the songs got onto the European New Christian Music Charts, reaching No 3 and staying in the charts for months and months. So, considering the "accidental" nature of my foree into international ministry, I feel very inadequate to instruct those who may wish to do an overseas tour. However, I do know that it was the start of some radical life changes for me and my ministry along with the vehicle to fulfil one of my wife's dreams. May God bless you in your ministry wherever you are called!! Jim Peters (C) 2009 - contact me with any questions - jim@jimpeters.com.au
