Highway 13 Band is a classic rock band, playing classic rock music the way it was meant to be played. Our show now in it's 9th year & features classic Rock & Roll of the 50's & 60's thru today. Our goal is to keep you dancing all night long, To make you turn your head and say, wow, I haven't heard that song in years. The band members individually and collectively are dedicated to bringing their respective talents and their love of "classic rock" and music in general to the stage every time they perform and every one of them can always be counted on to deliver an exciting collection of classic rock, pop and country rock for your listening and dancing pleasure. Even though the group is only 9 years old The members of Highway 13 have been involved in the music industry for many years. Terry Garrison began playing High School Dances and local venues on HIGHWAY 13 in the 60's with Joe Hayhurst & David Newman. But as they went their separate ways those simple beginnings would develop into impressive lifelong careers. Terry, graduated from Blue Eye High School in 67 and went to C of O in Branson. After college Terry, went to work in the entertainment industry and worked with major artists and traveled worldwide. Terry worked with groups from gospel to pop including Dottie Rambo,, Jeanie Pruitt and Pop Icon Dolly Parton, from,1976-1988. Terry has worked with actors including, Mel Gibson & Sissy Spacek-The River, Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds - Best Little Whorehouse in Texas & Steel Magnolias , Scott Glen - My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys, and others. After years on the road Terry is home in THE OZARKS directing and playing with Highway 13. Mike Price, Harmonica & Lead Vocals, started playing in the 60's & in the 70's Price and his Brother Tiger, started THE SILVER EAGLE BAND and played all over Mo., Ok. & California. The pair played and wrote songs for many years with an array of stellar musicians. In the early 80’s Mike went solo and cut an album, (Between Midnight and Dawn) and placed third in the Wrangler Showdown, But Michael missed being part of a band, so with Mark Stokes, Mike Wallace and Ron Hill he formed OZZIE AND THE ACES a classic rock review. Mike has 40+ years in music, And has produced, promoted and shared the stage with acts including, John Fred's Playboys,The Grass Roots, Steppenwolf, Iron Butterfly, Big Brother & The Holding Co, Kris Kristofferson, Hank Thompson, Dr Hook, Eddie Eugene, Lionel Hampton, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Muddy Waters,Roy Buchanan and a host of others. After 40+ years Mike is still rockin’ with The Highway 13 Band. St. Louis native Richard Piel, on Tenor Saxophone, played there prior to joining the Navy. He continued playing while he was stationed in California where met and joined “The Dartells.” Richard has played with many name artists including Ike and Tina Turner, Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Four Seasons, & The Beach Boys.. Joining the band in 2008 and replacing drummer, Joe Hayhurst, Rick Brennan is setting the tempo for the electrifying Highway 13 Band. Rick started his musical career in Springfield Mo but relocated to southern California where he played many venues including The Branding Iron, Cowboy, The Plush Horse and the world famous Palomino Club in N. Hollywood. Rick has shared the stage with Donna Fargo, Tanya Tucker, B. J. Thomas and The original cowboys sweetheart Patsy Montana. Rick has years of experience on the road and in the studio. With Clyde Atchley on electric guitar and vocals, Kerri Dawn Holmes female vocals, Jennifer Langford on Sax, Keys and backing vocals and Mark Donaldson on Bass that rounds out the unique original sound that is The Highway 13 Band.
