Loungetree on the Radio

Loungetree were invited to appear on Choice Hospital Radio this morning (Sunday 9th August).

The radio session starts with and interview with Lisa Ventura, organiser of the festival. The Loungetree interview kicks in at around 7m30s

We have included a link here to the full session on Choice Radio for anyone interested in hearing a few insights into the band and their music in their own words.

Tracks played included: Life Light, Seasons, Gasoline and Ordinary, all of which are taken from the forthcoming CD release 'Seasons' which is scheduled for release on 31st August and is available to pre-order now on the website www.loungetree.com

**** ARTISTS WANTED

Loungetree are looking for any artists out there that would be interested in producing artwork for the album booklet, T-shirts, stage projections and even a video for the first single.

We’re keen to involve our fans as much as possible in this process, and it would be a great addition to any portfolio! Although there is no money in this, we will share any proceeds on merchandise with the artist providing the design.

**** OTHER NEWS

Our new website is up and running at www.loungetree.com We had a photoshoot at Avoncroft Museum on 25th June – you can check out the mugshots on the website and here on Facebook.

We have a Treewall on the website and are inviting fans to submit pictures of their favourite trees. These could be ones that you live close to, ones from childhood – but should be ones that mean something to you. A mosaic of these will form part of the artwork for our forthcoming album later this year.

Artwork/video/animation required

We thought we'd try something using the power of the internet and social networking.

Loungetree's new album will be released later this year with a single release before that, and to go along with the CD and live shows we are looking for:

1) video for the single

2) interior artwork for CD booklet

3) artwork for T-shirts and other merchandise

4) back projections for live shows

This is aimed at any artists out there who would like to get involved in helping to create a band image. There is no fee involved, but any contributors will be acknowledged wherever their work is used. In the case of artwork used for merchandise, we will split any profits with the artist.

If you or any of your friends are interested please get in touch.

Thanks for reading

Loungetree

The Treewall

We're after your photos of your favourite trees... ones you grew up with, ones you live with or ones that mean something to you.

Pictures will appear here on our Treewall which will be included as part of the new album artwork later in 2009.

Nottingham charity gig update

We had a great gig last night at the Park Tavern in Nottingham. The event was organised by Katie Eastwood of New College Nottingham, and money raised for the When You Wish Upon A Star Appeal amounted to £210 on the night.

Thanks to Katie for organising the gig, we were very pleased to have so much good feedback from those who attended and are looking forward to playing in Nottingham again soon.
