The band did another marathon music weekend last Friday-Saturday June 13-14, 2014. Played at Alouette Correctional and then Surrey Pre-Trial before finishing up at House of James. We had some much fun presenting our music to these quite different audiences. Thanks for all those who made our trip possible.

Saturday night January 25, 2014 the Band made its first foray to an up-Island gig, in beautiful Port Alberni. An awesome time was had at Char's Landing, an intimate and well-run music club. Thanks for everyone who came out. We are hoping this will launch additional opportunities to play in the Port and elsewhere on Vancouver Island.

Just returned from an awesome weekend on the Mainland. We played Friday night at Alouette Correctional Centre 7-9pm, Saturday at Surrey Pre-Trial Centre 1030-3:30pm, and House of James Abbotsford from 9-10pm. Total play time about 7 hours. We had a blast, and were greatly blessed and encouraged bringing the gospel message into the jails through our songs, and to introduce "gospel blues" to the audience at House of James. Thank you Lando of HOJ, and JD Miner Band for offering time for us to cap off the weekend in such a great venue!

Thanks to the many folks who came out to hear Gospel Blues Church at the Fair Sunday morning Sept 1. We threw in some of our new songs (John the Revelator, Come Out of the Wilderness) and we appreciate the great response.

A fabulous weekend bringing the Gospel Blues in 4 sets at the Provincial facility in Surrey and later that day, to a fun crowd at the House of James in Abbotsford. Only downer was the last minute cancellation of our Friday evening session at the Fraser Valley Correctional Institute, thanks to new federal government policy that interprets any music presentations not done by "religious organizations" as concerts and inappropriate for prisons. Johnny Cash you would not make it into Canada's prisons.

What an awesome time this year. Very hot, but very cool. Great performers, including Glen Kaiser band and Phil Keaggy, First Born Live and John Lee Sanders. So great to be part of the lineup. Don't miss it next year!
