The Freedumb Movement

With the release of my album started something thats been in the making for quite some time. I know the term change has been used in various contexts lately, and although it's cliched at best I mean it when i say I am setting out to bring a change. I plan to bring about that change through something I call The Freedumb Movement. In today's world what exactly is freedom? Or Freedumb as I like to refer to it because one would have to be naive to believe we are 100% free. Harriet Tubman once said “I freed a thousand slaves, I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves” For one to be free they first have to be fully aware of what’s holding them captive and education is the first step to emancipation. I will open my heart in order to open minds. I will sacrifice to make the lives of those around me better and I am willing to die for what I believe in! I will set out to change the world or atleast the way we view it. I'll set out to change it the same way that MLK, Malcolm X, JFK, Tupac, Huey Newton, William Cooper among many others set out to change the world. I was once told that a smart man learns from his mistakes, but a wise man learns from the mistakes of others. I will follow in the footsteps of those before me but I will also learn from their mistakes. These were great men, great leaders but once these sheperds fell they left behind a heard of sheep with no direction therefore it is not my goal to be a leader with a large following behind me but yet a leader with an army of leaders beside me so in the event of my demise there will be many left standing to pick up where I left off but until then I’ll continue to write, because when I write I’m no longer bound to a society where my wings are clipped and I’m able to fly high, welcome to my world…
