Glass House celebrates 23 years as a songwriting collaboration with a new release featuring stellar contributions by some amazing musicians. The first three songs are now available on itunes (search by artist and title) as well as at cdbaby.com/glasshouse and many other digital sites.
Long Way Down
Long Way Down features Jon Evans, bass (Tori Amos, Linda Perry, Elton John and many others) and Scott Amendola, drums (Charlie Hunter, Bill Frisell).
Turn Away features the phenomenal, two time Grammy Award winning Turtle Island String Quartet as well as the driving drumming of L.A. session ace, M.B. Gordy (Green Day, Frank Zappa, Bill Withers). Jon Evans’ bass playing anchors this acoustic funk shout out to the Occupy movement.
Where I Belong
With the recent death of Rodney King, Glass House brings back this song, written in the days after Los Angeles was set ablaze over King’s beating. The song has been rearranged, and recorded with Jon Evan’s, bass and M.B. Gordy, drums.
These songs are produced by Jon Evans and Glass House. They were recorded at Mark’s House, (Oakland, CA), EMB Studios/Skyline Sound (Oakland, CA) and San Pablo Recorders (Berkeley, CA). They were mastered in San Francisco by Michael Romanowski (Third Eye Blind).
While it’s been some time since our last release, we hope you’ll find these songs are worth the wait.
