I finished mastering our next 12 track album, "White Hot Starlight" last week with our friend Chris Hanzsek (Soundgarden, The Melvins, Green River). The album was tracked by Pat Sample (Alice In Chains, The Walkabouts, Grand Archives) at the amazing Paradise Sound , and mixed by Graig Markel (Stone Gossard, Head Like A Kite, Band of Horses). Also had some help from our pal Kyle Fletcher at JAM Recording with overdubs. We are very grateful to have worked with such talented and caring people on this album and look forward to sharing the results! Just need to crank out the art work! ~Kelly
We are playing this Friday with SeaStar (double duty for me!) at The Scarlet Tree near Green Lake. It'll be our first time playing there. It looks pretty cool. Just another opportunity to make people happy through music, and explore sound and collaboration. That's all.
In recording news, we did overdubs on tracks from Paradise Sound in town at JAM Recording with our friend Kyle Fletcher. Next is to formulate the plan for mixing (we have a few ideas) and soon we will have a new album out! ~Kelly / BSC
We laid down basic tracks on 12 songs at Paradise Sound, a beautiful, world class mountain retreat of a recording stuido in Index, WA last weekend with Pat Sample. It was a marathon and we are off to a great start, laying down some rich tones and solid grooves with a great vibe. Will be going back in a couple weeks to continue over dubs. Looking forward to sharing this music!

We are happy to be playing the Blue November MicroFilmFest on Friday, 11/ 16 in the Greenwood neighborhood. The evenbt is being held at Upper Crust Catering starts at 7 PM and runs through Saturday. Also on the bill are a band I've seen live called Clearly Beloved, they put an amazing show, very theatrical, eclectic, bold and beautiful performers. You'll be surprised. This going to be a fun event!
We are playing in the Pussy Room at the Copper Gate in Ballard Saturday night, about an hour set. Opening is Ethan Freckleton. Cover is $5. Skin Richards of Samurai Bow and JoJo Jupiter will be playing drums with us. He brought a very cool set up to our last gig: kick, snare, djembe in place of floor tom and a piccolo tom in place of rack tom. Very unusual and cool sounding. Sunday is our regular First Sunday gig at the Upstairs in Belltown, that'll be Kelly, Jay, and Matteus as a trio... most likely. Now you know!
3 shows coming up, 2 out doors, one inside a vagina. I'm not kidding! 1st we are playing full on electric outside Add-A-Ball Arcade in Fremont on 9/13, then Acoustic at Carkeek Park's Festival of Fruit at Noon on Saturday 9/15. Then on October 6th, we are playing the Pussy Room at the Copper Gate in Ballard. The entry to the Pussy Room is a giant vulva that leads to a very cozy hidden music womb, I mean room!
We've had original BSC drummer and my old band mate form Yab Yum Andrew Linnemann on drums lately, good to have him back on board! Learning a lot of new material live and on the fly. He can do that!
Still have first run copies of our new album "Climbing Down from The Moon" available, produced by Jack Endino. It's sounds great! Pick one up from us at a show. Would love to find a lable that would press vinyl for us, hint, hint!
Well, you know where to find us!
