Instrumentals vs. Lyricals

Ever since I was a kid I enjoyed all types of music from pop to rock to country and have enjoyed singing along with the vocals, even though my voice wasn't the best. But I have always had a special place in my heart when it came to instrumentals. I remember listening to the classical music of Bach and Strauss and many others (too many to mention) that allowed my mind to wander off into places that I loved whether it was a beach or a mountain top or a peaceful river. I loved that due to the lack of a predetermined storyline in the lyrics of other music, I could imagine my own story depending on my mood at the time. Some would make me cry, some would have a spiritual effect on me. But no matter what, I will always love all music because it all speaks to us in so many different ways and can literally change our lives just by listening to it. Whether you are more into to lyrical music or instrumentals, either way you are enjoying a huge part of the way our world communicates with each other. In the music world, there is no judgement of where you come from or what your religious beliefs are, there is only the connection that we all share; the enjoyment of sound that is pleasing to the ear. So try to remember when you're browsing music artists, that even though the genre they choose to play most may not be your favorite, it is still an art form that comes from their heart and it means the world to them when you take the time to listen.
