Just finished up a trip to Nashville. What a great town! It was cool to see Music Row, The Ryman Theater (where the Grand'Ol Opry is held),some of the cool clubs for music. Caught the Wooten Bros. at 3rd and Lindsey. One big reason for the trip was to meet and play a bit with Joseph Wooten. Joeseph, along with being from the very musical Wooten family, is presently playing keyboards with The Steve Miller Band. Joseph is coming to Buffalo play some of his own music, and we will be joined by Eric Crittenden, Rodney Appleby & Dejuaine Motley. It's downtown Buffalo at the Tap Room March 14th at 9:30. Looking forward to it! Also got to meet Phil Dillon. Phil is a singer/songwriter...producer/engineer...and all around good guy! Phil really schooled me on the early days of the Buffalo music scene, and the great players involved. Thanks Phil! Lastly, thanks to Frank Johns, who took the time to show us around Gibson Guitars Nashville plant. Wow! it was really cool to see how they do their thing. Can't wait to get one of those DarkFires Frank! Thats about it for now. Talk to you soon! rl
