Darrell 'D Money', an indie artist, has been on his grind for years, coming out with lyrical and original sounds. With one album under his belt, 'So Understandable' and an album in the making, 'Fear of Success', D Money is on his way. Each album represents a piece of what makes up who he is.
'So understandable' is about D Money's everyday life, which was having sex, getting money and having fun. 'Fear of Success' is about having success but being scared of how people change around you, especially friends. This album also discusses how having a relationship is difficult. The lifestyle that comes with being an artist is made up of many women, sex and money. So D Money finds it hard to meet a genuine woman with authentic motives. There's also the no days off grind so it takes a lot of dedication, longsuffering and commitment.
On the album 'So Understandable', there's a song called 'In my life' where D Money talks about his mom, little brother and uncle. So you get to hear a more personal side of him.
His upcoming album 'Fear of Success' is more of a chapter 2 from 'So Understandable' since his uncle passed away. D Money gives an update on how things with with his family are in this album.
Even though the stories are different, it gives you a day and night look into his life. 'So Understandable' is his high point, the celebration of the things he has achieved. Now you're getting the bad and the deeper side of things. On his recent album, D Money wants people to relate because deep down nobody wants to fail and that's the fear of success, not making it. 'I been doing this for 13 years non stop n that's my fear everyday'. With years of experience and a couple albums out, stay tuned for more of D Money.
