"Filament" to Drop 2/19/2016

On Friday 2/19/2016 Broken Glow will release "Filament," the band's brand new full length album! Featuring 9 never-before recorded tracks, this is the band at their best. The tunes were recorded during the summer of 2015 at Habitat Noise Studios on WIlmington Island, GA with Donald Moats (Coeds, Sins Of Godless Men, Habitat Noise, etc) and feature new member Chris Horton on guitars and background vocals.

The band will host a release party at Southound Brewing Company is Savannah, GA on February 19th, 2016. To commemorate the event, Broken Glow has paired with the brewers at Southbound to create their very own custom brew, on tap at the show! BBXF opens the show with their riffy modern rock, Chazito's food truck serves up hot food, Planetary Projections will be inducing lucid dreams and Rock 106.1 will broadcast live from the event. $15 gets you in admission to the show, a custom BG/Southbound pint glass and drink tickets, and the first 20 through the door get a free copy of "Filament!" Change Gonna Come

For those of you in the know, this has been a very eventful year for Broken Glow. On the heels of releasing "Watercolors" last summer, the boys joined Cousin Sleaze on the Miles Of Mayhem Tour in September. The next few months saw trips to Philly, Connecticut, upstate NY, and performances alongside countless great bands. In January, the boys channeled the grunge greats at Gramercy Theater and finished tracking instruments for their upcoming full-length release.

However, in March, unspeakable tragedy struck as Brenner Eugenides left this strange world quite unexpectedly. In the wake of this mighty loss Garrett, Paul and Andrew have carried the torch high, continuing to travel and perform. In memory of our lost brother, Broken Glow hosted "Not Just A Pretty Face : Celebrating The Life And Times Of Brenner Eugenides" at Spike Hill in Williamsburg, BKNY. Joined by great acts such as Jim Earl, Chicks Throwing Bricks, The Golden Age Of Transit and Cousin Sleaze, the event was a magical night of light and heavy feeling accompanied by light and heavy music.

As the boys continue to march down the road, change is in the air. Garrett has some serious work to do finishing vocals over the recorded tunes, Paul is pushing his rhythms to new levels daily, and Andrew holds down bass duties in two heavy NYC rock bands. This fall will mark a short hiatus for the band, as Garrett retreats to Savannah, GA to finish vocals and flesh out new material.

With this, we encourage all of our NYC friends and fans to join us at Spike Hill Wednesday 9/19/12 as we take the stage with Cinema Cinema, The Golden Age Of Transit and The VeeVees. This free show will be your last chance to catch Broken Glow in Brooklyn for the rest of the year, so show us some love and come party with us!

Hey, so this is our first blog post. Being that i'm not too sure what to write. Do you take the obvious story route or do you start from where you are now, which is in reality what this whole thing is supposed to be about. If your really interested in our history you could check out our myspace page. So right now were the in the middle of it. We're currently working on what will be our first studio record. We're hoping to get it done soon(ish). We also play a lot so if you dig it check out our show lists. It's always being updated. Thanks for taking the time to read this and consider it an introduction to life and times of Broken Glow.
