2015 'Not A Ukulele' Tour Kick-Off In Chicago

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Sarah Amos, Band Publicist 917-745-3573 NotAUkuleleTour@gmail.com AWARD-WINNING MANDOLINIST, BRYAN RANNEY KICKS-OFF 'NOT A UKULELE' TOUR IN CHICAGO Uncommon Ground on Devon - Thursday, January 8th - 8pm Bryan Ranney is celebrating the 'Not A Ukulele'-ness of mandolins everywhere on his 2015 tour. He is singing original songs and winning fans the way an indie musician does: with stickers and T-shirts. Following the reception of his debut album, Watershed, songwriter and performer, Bryan Ranney listened to the general public: Some, who might have previously asked, "Is that a ukulele?" had instead begun asking, "What is that? I know it's Not A Ukulele." Ranney interprets this subtle shift in language as a remarkable step forward for the popular awareness of his somewhat-obscure, kind-of-familiar, and not-entirely-unheard-of chosen instrument. Bryan Ranney performs at Uncommon Ground on Devon, Thursday, January 8 at 8pm. Rory Sullivan (Chicago, IL) and Mike Vinopal (Chicago, IL) will play opening sets. Uncommon Ground on Devon is Chicago's most intimate music venue. Attendees are encouraged to reserve a table in advance by calling 773-465-9801. Tickets are $10 at the door. If you'd like to schedule an interview, review the show, or request further materials, please email NotAUkuleleTour@gmail.com or call 917-745-3573. www.BryanRanney.com • @bryanranney • NotAUkuleleTour@gmail.com

Happy New Year! It's 2014...

2013 was a year filled with exciting opportunities for my music career. I formed The Mars Rover Band, performed in a variety of bands with my friends, spent MANY hours in recording studios, and performed in my very first music video!

I look forward to sharing my work with the world and I'll keep you up to date as the releases drop.

I have several shows lined up in St. Louis at The Heavy Anchor and Iron Barley. These shows will feature Adam Andrews on harmonica, spoons and washboard.

Toward the end of January, I'm headed north to the Twin Cities on the first leg of my 2014 goodwill campaign. If you have friends in the area, please hip them to my show with The Bottom 40 on January 24th at The Driftwood Char Bar. Music from 7-8:30.

Hope everyone has a wonderful 2014!

Much Love, Bryan
