DO NOT BE A DUMB-ASS!!! We have it on good authority that Trinity Avenue will be in Seattle in September at a pretty rad venue. Do not fuck this up! We are taking the day off and will see you then. More details TBA shortly. Matt's Tribute Avenue: http://www.reverbnation.com/control_room/artist/3152525/songs# (My Cover of T.A.'s "The Scene" is last on our playlist). Trinity Proper: www.facebook.com/trinityavenuemusic http://www.reverbnation.com/trinityavemusic By the way...we had A BLAST with Estafets, Toxic Kid, and Right your Wrongs at the Cut June 14th. Also...just saw Mind Vice at a show last night that "uncle" Tom Smith put on at the Mirkwood. One of the best live-bands in Western Washington hands fucking down! the Red Hot Chili Peppers should be opening for them, Fuckyeah. http://www.reverbnation.com/mindvice https://www.facebook.com/mindvice -Southie.
Whew! Whatta trip. Mad Rad thanks to everyone in Port Angeles and surrounding areas that made our second fantastic doubleheader possible. Always great to play Coogs, and big thanks to the many acts throughout the day. There is so much good punk-rock in small towns. We were blown away by AK47's rappin' prowess, all the local bands that played, and the townies that came up with us on the trip to rock the house. Huge thanks to MCFD and Urine Idiot. Massive thanks to Trinity Avenue and Poorsport for both letting us mooch off of them and borrow gear. We couldn't ask for better friends. Big thanks also to the Coo Coo's nest for having us again and to The Weirdoes for playing as well. We'll be in Port Townsend for another double-header in late June. Cheers, -Southie
So one of the Ticket Mills that runs their racket here in our town just asked us to empty our wallet. Oh boy! We weren't getting enough junk e-mails or anything...so glad this came along! In case you haven't seen Bon (from Girl Trouble) Von Wheelie's fantastic site concerning the subject....I want to bring it to your attention. It makes for an excellent late-night read! http://neverpaytoplay.com/
We had such a good time this weekend. Studio Seven with the Straws, Captain Algebra, Same Old Now, and Ether.....and then the Mirkwood with More America, The Lonely Drivers, and Skablins. Everything was great! Were blessed to be in the fold with awesome bands!
So our First Album (Keep it simple) is available now. it's 11 tracks and rad. You can buy it from us at shows, or you can pick it up at Silver Platters at Northgate, Sodo, or Bellevue. other ways to purchase coming soon.
Just about done tracking the Full Length album with engineer extraordinaire Jason Suko at South Sound Sound. We will have some of the cuts up soon I think. South Sound Sound is a phenomenal studio by the way.
Two shows left, then recording of the full length starts Mid-October. Probably self-releasing in January.
So great show last night with Johnny Hoffman and The Residents, and Captain Algebra. Punk-Rock, puke, new friends, all the planets aligned for us yesterday and we're thankful for that. We are playing a very last-minute show Friday at The (Legendary) Old Firehouse in Redmond, WA at 7pm with a couple awesome bands. We'd sure love to see you. -SOUTHENDER
Whew. We made it. 6 shows wasn't exactly the plan, and we cheated with 2 double headers, but still. Great shows the 21st with First One's Free and Insuburban Avenue, and the 29th with Poorsport and Highlight bomb. Super rad to connect with awesome bands that know what time it is. Looking forward to playing with all of them again sometime. Happy Birthday to both Max from Poorsport and Karri Fairfield, Poorsport's long (long...long) time booking agent. I realize everyone was trying to keep their rockish-physiques, but the icecream cake wasn't going to eat itself, so thanks for the help. Don't worry, you still all look adorable. In other news, Andy should be back with us in July. Do yourself a favor and come out to our only July show on Saturday the 20th in Everett to celebrate the release of Johnny Hoffman and the residents 2nd album. Our pals Captain Algebra from Olympia are also on board. Solid!
