Singer, multi-instrumentalist, director, arranger, composer Tracy L J Robertson was born into a household of barbershop singing, and has been exploring vocal harmony ever since. From the age of 6, he competed in the Barbershop Harmony Society, and from that point he participated in any other choral and vocal ensemble opportunity that came his way. For two years, Tracy studied music education and classical composition at SUNY Fredonia, and in 2010, upon auditioning and receiving a full tuition scholarship, he transferred to Berklee College of Music. Since then, he joined the collegiate acappella group, “Pitch Slapped”, this ensemble won the International Championship of Collegiate Acappella and SoJam Collegiate competitions. As a member of "The Singing Tribe" under the direction of Joey Blake, Tracy has had the honor of working closely with Rhiannon and perform with Bobby Mcferrin. Tracy recently had the pleasure of being a visiting Artist at UDLA of Quito, Ecuador,conducting an ensemble singing and vocal improvisation workshop. Current projects include, “The Singing Tribe”, “Introflection”, “Pitch Slapped”, “Havaland”, and “Sung Deep”.
Singer, Composer, Producer, Vocal Coach, with a professional music background Stefano is versatile singer. Graduated in Contemporary Writing and Production (Berklee College of Music, Boston 2012), he had the opportunity to study and collaborate with big musicians like Matthew Nicholl, Joey Blake, Bob Stoloff, Norma Winstone, Jetro Da Silva, and many others. Stefano has served as vocal coach Ars Nova, Roma 2007-2010; Accademia della Musica, Roma 2009-2010 and many public school in Italy. In 2009 Stefano collaborated with Cinzia Spata in the writing of the instructional book on jazz singing (“Jazz Vocal”, Volonte’ & Co, Milano, 2010). Stefano is also an accomplished arranger and has had the chance to arrange for Luis Enrique (11/2012) and many others artists. Stefano is currently finishing his firts solo release “Radici”, is one of the members of “Sung Deep”, “Singing Tribe”, “Balkan Choir”.
Patricia Moreno was born 1988 in Styria, Austria. She studied Vocal Jazz at the Conservatory of Music in Vienna where she graduated in 2009 as „Bachelor of arts“, with distinction. In 2010 she moved to Boston in order to attend the renowned Berklee College of Music, where she further developed her fluid and distinctive vocal delivery. Patricia has shared the stage with internationally acclaimed artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Bob Stoloff, Joey Blake and Alegre Corea to name a few. Patricia currently studies vocal pedagogy for Popular Music at the University for Music and Performing Arts of Vienna. Patricia has been the recipient of several Educational Awards both nationally and internationally, and received the BEST- Scholarship from the Berklee College of Music in 2010. Patricia has had the pleasure to performed at music festivals in Austria, Germany, Italy, Greece, Spain, England, Lithuania, Ukraine, North Korea, Boston and Venezuela. On her solo album "Latin Roots" she combines elements of her specifically designed Jazz Vocal approach with her musical origins in Latin music.
Lucia is an R&B/Neo-soul/Jazz-Fusion vocalist. She was born during Moatsü, a festival of music and dance celebrating the harvest season in Nagaland, India. With parents of mixed cultural heritage, Lucia is highly influenced by her maternal tribal ancestry as well as the music of her paternal South Indian roots. Lucia started listening to singers like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill and Aretha Franklin, and was enthralled by R&B and Soul music. Influenced by groups like The Manhattan Transfer, Lucia had started to perform in a’capella groups, and went on to organize and lead her school and college choirs. During her college years, Lucia also started to work professionally as a studio musician; recording jingles for radio and television nationally. Lucia was one of the founding members of Artistes Unlimited, a 60-member choir and charitable trust for the promotion of the performing Arts in New Delhi, India. She traveled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2005, to attend the International College of Music, where she received her Pre-Foundation Certificate in Music. During this time, she auditioned for Berklee’s World Scholarship Tour, and was awarded a student scholarship to attend the Berklee College of Music in Boston. In Spring 2007, Lucia enrolled at Berklee, where she has been actively performing at a number of recitals and shows, where she got to meet artists like Amel Larrieux, Lalah Hathaway, Oleta Adams and Ledisi. She has sung backgrounds for renowned artists like Tata Vega, Joey Blake, Rhiannon, Larry Watson. Lucia has had the privilege of recording with John Blackwell, as part of the Prince Ensemble. During her graduation in May 2010, with a degree in Vocal Performance, Lucia was selected to sing in the tribute to Angelique Kidjo, who was one of the honorary doctorates of the graduation ceremony. Lucia is currently teaching private voice lessons at Zumix (Boston) while actively performing as one of the lead singers of the R&B and Jazz group founded by Bill Banfield called ‘Jazz Urbane’, the lead singer of the band ‘Project 51’, and a member of the a’capella group ‘Sung Deep’.
Sicilian singer/composer/arranger, SISSY CASTROGIOVANNI with her powerful and warm voice has a unique and soulful sound created from the mixture between her mediterranen and sicilian root, jazz harmonies, classical and african music all combined with beautiful melodies in sicilian dialect. Sissy was born in Sicily (Italy) into a musical family and started singing and composing on piano at the age of five. Starting to develop a wide variety of musical styles, from jazz to blues, to soul and funk, being all the time as well exposed to sicilian traditional folk music. She continues her studies until the age of twenty as a self-taught musician. In 2005 Sissy starts her musical training in Italy, studing voice technique, jazz improvisation piano and percussions, and in the same year she starts to collaborate with some of the best musicians in the jazz Italian scene. In 2009 she receives a scholarship to attentd Berklee College of Music where she graduated specializing in Jazz Composition and Mediterranean Studies, and in 2011 Berklee invites her to be part of the Mediterranen Music Institue in Berklee Valencia awarded as full scholarship. From 2005 on Sissy has the opportunity to collaborate with artists such as the jazz drummer Jack DeJohnette (Keith Jarrett, Miles Davis, John Coltrane etc.) - Patrice Rushen - 10 time grammy award, Bobby McFerrin – Latin grammy award, Javier Limon. She performed in Italy, Spain, Belgium, France, USA, and in many jazz festivals as "Umbria Jazz '08", "Jazz Marathon '08", "Piazza Jazz' 10" (awarded as "Best Singer ") , MIDEM Cannes Music Festival, "4th Annual Middle Eastern Festival" etc. Also she performed in such a venues like Jordan Hall (Boston), European Parlament (Brussels), Italian Embassy (Boston). Currently Sissy lives in Boston where she’s involved in different projects while being as well vocal teacher for AYDMusic school. “INTRA LU MUNNU” - is the name of her first work as solo artist, entirely signed under her name as singer and composer. Raised in a family of musicians and gospel singers, Joey's multiple skills include singer, producer, recording engineer, musician ,composer and choir director. He studied classical voice and vocal jazz arranging at Phil Mattson's School for Vocalists developing his deeply resonant and expressive bass vocals. Joey Blake is a vocalist with an unmistakable style, fluid as it is unique, full of surprises and delivered with masterful grace. His instrument-like approach to the voice gives him a musical vocabulary heard only in the rarest of singers. He is one of the founding and current members of Voicestra, the a cappella ensemble created by Bobby McFerrin. He was also a founding member of Sovoso the group that spun from Voicestra ,Joey’s current projects are We Be 3, an improvisational vocal Trio comprised of himself and two other members of Voicestra, Rhiannon and Dave Worm. Back to the Band a five piece band consisting of all Berklee Graduates focusing on Improvisation within the live band experience. "Sung Deep" an eight piece A cappella ensemble is Joey's latest recording project, an International Group of singers, with an emerging self titled CD coming in the early part of 2013! Joey also has begun an A cappella choir he calls the "Singing Tribe" the focus of all these ensembles is to model what we believe is possible in the world by functioning as an international community of people working together for one purpose, global unity!
