Hello to all. Well, I just wanted to apologize for my long absence from the music scene. I know I promised a new video in 2014. I have no excuses and apologize for the long delay. I just want to thank those who have be patient with me this last year. Just want to let you know this, that I do have a private life but am very approachable if you see me, anywhere. Love to you all and peace to you.
Another former Paisley Park group was schanked by the Artist who formerly declared the internet dead. With all the money, awards, mansions and millions of records sold he just wasn't satisfied with his own brand of justice. FDeluxe, if I'm reading the comments right, was asked to take their music off SoundCloud.com Yes, an internet music site. WOW, once again, if the internet is dead why do you have your people on the web looking for your former employees whereabouts? This is worse than a corporation going on facebook to find out what kind of person you are. Prince has finally turned into what he hated the most. CORPORATE. Well, congratulations. You are alienating more of your fans everyday with character defining moves such as this. It's time to take a step back and let others live their life. All the wealth, tangible items, luxuries in which others can only dream about is just material things. Once the soul leaves the body you can't take it to the grave. Just like the corporate hanchos who think wealth is immortality. "Get it up" and "Have a real good time."
Was reading an article about Prince and The Time. Long story, short, Seems like Prince doesn't want "The Time" to use that name. So, "The Time", changed their name to "The Original Seven". With the name change came a failed CD, failed tour dates and band member abandonment. Seems like Prince just played the poor little powerful spoiled rich boy tactic and did not allow the use of "The Time" or the music that went with the name. He's done it before with "The Family" which changed their name to "FDeluxe." Yeah, yeah, there's more to the story but it's not the first time, power, money, jealousy, has broken up family and friends. That was just an example of it.
So, you came up together, yet, you couldn't share the piece of the pie because yo' ass went republican and claimed that it was somebody else to blame for all that is wrong. FUCK YOU!!!! Unless it's a drug, alcohol, family crack addict or uncle Tom touching your kids related occurrence let them use the name. It's not hurting you. It's helping them with their way of life and job in the entertainment business. You made your money. You made it to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. You have your mansions all over the world, why do you persist on digging your heels in on the ones that want to create music and want to entertain? Jealousy or Greed? I guess this just epitomizes that once your are on top as the CEO of Funk, you are gonna Fuck anybody else that wants piece of the American Dream. So much for being like family....asshole!
Seems like I go through this process every year in wanting to get a band together. I try to make it simple. I have original music and would like to have players play it. I'm not egocentric but have a certain road I would like to travel on. Yes, I do take advice and try to say put your own flavor into the track but don't distract from the course when doing so. So, once again, here's my wish list of players: Drummer, Keyboardists, Bass Player, Guitarists, Percussionists, Sax and trumpet player, Female back up vocalist. Now, I would love to have female guitarists but it seems like that's impossible. I'm praying it's not. Funk is what I feel. Rock is how we roll with it. So inbox me let me know what we can do or arrange.
So, it's been a minute since I blog on RN. First, I'm currently Ranked #1 in my Category of FUNK in Orlando, Florida.
Secondly, I'm starting to ask if anybody with Funk/Jazz/Blues aptitude would like to start up a local Funk band to play my originals? Guitarist, Bass Player, Drums, Keys. Let me know, I'm so wanna turn Central Florida out before heading to L.A. for a minute.
It's pretty cool to be ranked so high in a few short days, here, on Reverbnation. I'm liking the comments and new music friends/fans that I am receiving. So many talented artists, musicians on this site. Don't know what to say but WOW. My gratitude goes out to Jillian Rocafort, Derrick "Hott Soss" Cummings, Scott Robinson, Angel L Reyes, Don Tweedy, Barry Weinstein, Jeff Ravenscraft, Steve Reele, Fred McKnight, Vincente Castillo, Michelle "Bray" Mitinger, Nicole "Nikki" Williams, Joseph Rivers, Randy and Levon Jackson, Ruben Ruiz, Craig Collins, Randee Elmore, Eleanor Landrau, Sharon "Keep in the pocket" Nelson, and especially Jermaine Stewart(Dancing in Heaven) for the support and work on various songs I've done. I'm happy to announce that Paul A. Altamirano will be my New Music Manger. He's supported all music Funk music and with the conversations, ideas, and most importantly trust, I decided to on this. This is the first step in succeeding within the music industry and the makings of my inner circle of a Music Family.
