Death Of A Rapper is the most personal and painful project released by Rob Wilson, aka Fresh IE. Every song is an expression of emotions from a man who discovers how deeply flawed he truly is. After almost losing everything that he loves and over coming thoughts of suicide, Fresh IE turned once again to what helped save his life 13 years ago, making music. The result is the new 13 song album, released on iTunes, June 6, 2011.
The big difference from his eight other commercial releases is that this time, Fresh IE has not just survived the elements of hard life handed to him as a child growing up in poverty and crime. This time Fresh IE has had to overcome hardships created by his own deeds.
Death Of A Rapper is about Fresh IE discovering who Rob Wilson really is and how vulnerable he really is. About a man who is more than just a two time Grammy Nominee, or the First Canadian Rapper to be nominated for a Grammy Award. More than the man who won dozens of awards and more than the man who spent 12 years trying to encourage youth all over Canada and the United States to live their best lives. Death Of A Rapper is more of a statement of how Fresh IE went from grace to glory, from glory to disgrace and back to grace.

MY HEART FOR THE FIRST NATIONS OF NORTH AMERICA
I'VE SPENT THE LAST 10 TEARS TRAVELLING ACROSS CANADA, AND THE UNITED STATES, WITH ALOT OF OPPORTUNITIES TO GO OVER SEAS, AND MAINSTREAM. ALTHOUGH THERE ARE ALOT OF BENIFETS IN CHASING A CHILDHOOD DREAM, OF BEING A HOUSEHOLD NAME IN MUSIC, THE STRONG CALL TO SEE THE YOUTH OF NATIVE AMERICA IS STILL BEATING STRONG IN MY HEART, IT HITS AS HARD AS THE DRUM THAT THE CULTURE EMBRACES. FROM THE PAIN OF RESEDENTIAL SCHOOLS, AND SUICIDE AND ALCHOL, PLAUGING THE NORTHERN COMMUNITIES, I KNOW WITH EVERYTHING IN ME, THAT THERE IS SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL AND POWERFUL AHEAD FOR THIS GENERATION. MY MISSION ISNT JUST TO CONVERT CHRISTIANS, BUT TO SHARE THE LOVE OF GOD (CREATOR) AND HIS SON JESUS. I HAVE SEEN THOUSANDS OF YOUTH EMBRACE GOD, AND FIND HEALING, BUT ALSO SEEN A HUGE GAP BETWEEN THE ELDERS AND YOUTH. THE REASON WHY I WRITE SONGS WITH EMOTION, AND PAIN, RATHER THAN TO EXZIBIT RYHME SKILLS, IS CAUSE I BELIEVE THAT MUSIC IS A TOOL, IT IS WARFARE, AND HAS THE ABILITY TO GET INTO THE HEART OF PEOPLE AND ALLOW A SEED OF HEALING AND ENCOURAGMENT. I'VE BEEN TO OVER 100 RESERVES IN CANADA, INCLUDING NUNAVIK, AND ASK FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT AS THIS IS A MISSION FEILD JUST AS IMPORTANT AS AFRICA, OR ASIA.
FRESH IE 1PETER 2:9 @FRESH204 (Twiiter)
In hindsight looking back at the last 8 yrs of my life, it amazes me how God could completely change a persons desires, and uses him to help someone, when he never could help himself. Kinda reminds me of King David who when dealing with himself always seemed to mess up, but could most of the time help his people. The statement "God uses us in spite of our selves " is so true. I guess I'm just real thankful that when I was ready to throw away my dreams God was always there to catch 'em Keep your dreams alive!
