So I finished working on Toast and it is in the process of being distributed to a number of online stores including iTunes and AmazonMP3 as well as a host of online music destinations such as Spotify, Rdio, iHeartRadio, etc. The song was re-worked with a new drum and bass part as well as some additional guitar fills. Since I don't have a band anymore I need to do all the parts myself which is time consuming, especially since I have very little free time. Nevertheless it got done and I'm please with the result. I even added an opening modified sample of the Infamy speech from WW2 just to add some flavor and polish. Thanks to the app VirtualDJ for that bit.
The process of getting the music approved and posted can take days to several weeks but when it comes available I'll make an announcement. Meanwhile, I've post the song on Reverbnation so at least it can be streamed and heard.
Where do I go from here? I have a bazillion song projects, old and new I could take on at this point and I'd really like to focus on the stuff that would have the greatest impact. Toast was on the heavier side of things so I may go acoustic for the next round. I'd love to find a drummer with an electric kit and a female vocalist to work with in the studio.
That's all for now. Thanks for listening.
So this won't be very fascinating but it is my first blog entry on Reverbnation. I've been spending some time re-mixing a song called "Toast" with new percussion and bass parts. I hope to post it online soon.
