When writing, do you actually give ample attention to what your song is about? The time you and your co-writers spend on every detail of the song is, oh so, important. You've got to place yourself into your story: live it, breathe it, taste it, smell it, become one with it, young jedi!!!! The same focus is needed on the music, as well as the lyrics. Does it all fit the "feeling" of the story?
When me & my co-writers meet, we actually list and brainstorm with all the possibilities and scenarios, even spending as much time on the ones we don't use to make sure we are making a valid decision to not include it in the song!
It takes quality parts to build a quality car!!!
