Frist of all what is great music? How about “Can’t buy me love”, or “I want to hold your hand” by The Beatles, which respectfully held the number one spot on the U.S. Billboard in the early 1960’s for more than five weeks in a row. How about the 1979 “Off the wall Album” by Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, and his “A-team” which sold over ten million copies? I believe that making great music is the ultimate challenge for any artist/producer, songwriter, or engineer. It is a certain level of quality that only a few can ever master. It is a tireless effort for perfection. It involves many frustrating years of honing your craft, countless long sleepless nights, and an absolute will to be better than the other guy. It is not enough to just creating something good, but having the courage to go the extra mile and take your musical idea over the top!
