It is with much sadness that I anounce the passing of GBs much loved guitarist Brian Viall .After a long struggle with cancer Brian died in early October in hospital near his home in the UK .We will miss him.Rock on Brian and play the blues in heaven .

Last night at Vilea Village hotel Makry Gialos Crete The GB Blues band and friends joined forces with Cretan alturnative Punk trio Brain Flexous to play a gig to raise money for the Hectors house animal charity .Early indication are that around a thousand euros was donate by the audience .Also taking part was George Mavro Koukoulakis ,Kev Jones and American Flautist Cindy Scholl.GB Blues band would like o thank every one for their participation in the event .

GB Blues Band wishes to say just what a great place Matala is and how lovely the people are in the town and surrounding areas ...Matala Beach Festival is a great festival and it essential that it keeps going ....GB Blues Band wishes to thank all their fans for their support and apologize that their set was cut from Saturdays programme through NO fault of their own .. this was beyond their control and due to miss management of sound checks by the organisers of the festival .. it left no time on the programme for them to perform .. GB Blues Band did approach the announcer to ask if he would announce the fact to the audience... only to be told that they would only announce the acts ... we are so sorry for the disrespect that was shown to our WONDERFUL fans and are deeply upset that we could not perform .. it was suggested that we move our performance to a POSSIBLE !! slot on Sunday but this was impossible due to some members of the bands prior commitment . Apologies again ... love the GB BLUES BAND ..
