Hello again Renaissance Rock Orchestra friends! Thank you all again from the bottom of our hearts!
Well here it is…the FINAL COUNTDOWN!! 15 more days until the digital release of “The White Gate Trilogy”! We are very excited for you to hear our new music that YOU have helped us to create and release!
We are VERY excited to announce that Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame member guitarist Howard Leese from Heart and Paul Rodgers and recently the “Raiding The Rock Vault” show in Las Vegas will be recording a guitar solo on the song “Alexanders’ Symphony”! This song promises to be another Renaissance Rock Orchestra milestone. What an honor it is to have Howard join us on this epic rock symphony!
The final mixes of “The Author Of Mystery” sound FANTASTIC and HUGE! Scheduling issues with singer Robin McAuley ( Survivor / MSG) for the vocal tracks have had to be rescheduled to March 31st and we are FREAKING OUT with anticipation because this song is sounding SO GOOD!
The drum tracks on “Alexanders’ Symphony” with drummer Brent Fitz of Slash/Alice Cooper fame turned out unbelievably good! We could not have chosen another drummer to play this particular piece so perfectly. Fitz did a brilliant job and really put his blood, sweat and tears into this track! Thank you Brent!
It was really fun and wonderful to be able to have Brent come into The Tone Factory recording studio in Las Vegas to lay these tracks with producer Vinnie Castaldo and keyboardist Gregg Fox. On many of our tracks we have the instrumentalists do the track in their own studio and then have them send it to us. What a fantastic thing it was to spend the time discussing the parts and the music as Brent played them in the studio. The result was a musical powerhouse of drum heaven!
Also joining us on “Alexanders’ Symphony” will be violinist extra-ordinaire Nina DiGregorio. Nina has a degree in classical performance and has performed with numerous superstar artists. Nina will be adding that “real” violin tone to the track to fill it out and really make it come alive with the sound of a full orchestra.
As a final wrap up to “The White Gate Trilogy” project keyboardist Gregg Fox will go into The Tone Factory to begin the grand piano tracks to another new piece called “A Hymn To Galadriel”. This predominantly grand piano piece is a haunting and melodic instrumental that begins in near silence and grows into cascading arpeggios of sound eventually building into a final explosion of symphonic rapture.
There’s still a LOT to get done but it’s all coming together perfectly to give all you supporters and fans a completely unique and remarkably musical experience as you listen to the debut Renaissance Rock Orchestra CD.

RRO launches new Kickstarter campaign!
Rockstars create new prog rock!
A Kickstarter campaign has been launched to raise funds to help Renaissance Rock Orchestra raise $9,500 in 44 days to make a new CD.
Gregg Fox reports that all the music has been written and the keyboards and bass lines have all been recorded. According to Fox, it is his best material ever. All 5 songs will include world class vocalists and guitarists. An astonishingly great RRO album to take you to wherever you usually go when you hear their music!
They have until October 17th to raise their goal. You can pledge from $5 USD to $5,000 USD, and you will get a number of perks, including T-shirts, backstage passes, VIP packages, Cd's and downloadable music from the new album "In Times Of Olde" which already features drums by Heart drummer Ben Smith and guitars solo's by Gun n Roses guitarist extraordinaire, Bumblefoot! Hello all Renaissance Rock Orchestra! We are busy in the thick of recording numerous tracks for “The White Gate Trilogy”, to be released in 15 days!
We are working on multiple pieces at the same time and diligently scheduling various artist for different tracks.
We have our brilliant musicians including Mikey “Bones” Gerbino on bass and Elvis Lederer on guitar laying some fantastic tracks on 2 different pieces at the same time!
Bones has been laying tracks on on our masterpiece epic the “Author of Mystery” featuring some awesome and huge drums by powerhouse Brian Tichy (Whitesnake/Foreigner/Billy Idol) who is quickly becoming an icon in the music industry.
We have scheduled master vocalist from MSG/Survivor and Raiding The Rock Vault, Mr. Robin McAuley to do the lead vocals on this track and are VERY excited to have our first song with vocals available soon!
We have spoken with some literally legendary guitarists to do the lead guitar solo on this track and so this is going to be a MONSTER TRACK!! Hang on to your hats gang!! This is ROCKIN!
Guitarist Elvis Lederer from Blue Man group is finishing the guitars on out next new piece “Alexanders’ Symphony” as I write this and I’m hoping to start mixing the guitar tomorrow at The Tone Factory recording studio in Las Vegas. I will also be re-recording some piano tracks on this song with the beautiful grand piano there at The Tone Factory. We also look forward to recording the drums on this track next Tuesday with the awesome Brent Fitz from Slash. I can’t wait to hear how the song comes together in the next week!
