Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer, and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (NIV)
After God responds to our prayers, petitions, and requests, how do we show gratitude? Daily, weekly, monthly?
We should fell our hearts with thanksgiving everyday. Show our gratitude daily.
Psalm 118: Give thanks to The Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. (NIV)
I hope everyone is accepting life as it is. To God be the glory for all things.
Last night I was reading an article about a young lady who made bad decisions as a young girl. It all caught up with and she paid her time. Following her release her family disappointed her. Without sharing the entire story, she lost faith in everyone. God included. There was a lot to learn for the story.
It's not God's plan to have us suffer but we do have to endure hardships. Our family members may hurt our feelings, outsiders will hurt our feelings, we will suffer hardships but we must draw on the faith within. We must build our faith, pray, and seek council from God. He is there all the time.
The rain is pouring down in my life but I can't give up. My faith is strengthening because God said he want put more on us then we can bare.
The young lady gave up everything. Please believe that what we endure is only a test . God speaks life and that does not include taking your life. Never will he speak to us and say it's over ,you have endured enough. Come home and take your rest. BAM.
God speaks LIFE
Love you all! Pamela Harper-Bowman
Good Morning Everyone!
Oh what a beautiful morning it is in deed! I was listening to a sermon of one of my former Pastors earlier. Boy did it hit me good. Overall he was simply saying "check yourself before you wreck yourself".
So I'm up inventorying my overall lifestyle. I'm most concerned about my spiritual life. I just can't imagine not living with Jesus, and receiving all the benefits he has promised. I'm nervous just thinking about falling short of the glory of God!
Hey friends let's get it together. Prepare for receiving your benefits. As my song plainly says it Jesus is coming "SOON".
Love you all!
Born for us all, Died for us all, Rose for us all, Lives for us all, For it all we must love him with ALL our heart! Thank you JESUS for your unconditional LOVE!
I hope you are smiling! I'm learning how to smile more. It's such a good feeling to smile from the inside out. As the late James Brown sang, "I Feel Good!". Last month the bottom fell out and as March approaches the storm is continuing. But, "I feel Good". Just as I began to feel heavy, Scriptures filled my mind/heart. Deuteronomy 31:8, He will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not neither be dismayed. Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Philippians 4:19, But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus Now, with that said, What's to worry about. I know a testimony is on the way! The rainbow is in view! Keep smiling!
I found this quote that got me thinking.... Do I really love what I do or am I simply settling for what I do. Maybe it's time for a change. The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle." Steve Jobs
As I wrapped the final gift, I couldn't help but wonder why do we give gifts to one another when it's not our birthday? We spend so much time searching for the right gift and I dare not mention the price of some gifts. Some of us spend into debt. Thank God I am over that stage. Christ came into this world...spent time creating each of us in his imagine. We are very unique. He went to another level and showed his love for us on the cross so we might live! Priceless!! I can only imagine what Christmas would be like if gifts were given back to Christ. What if we spent more time giving ourselves to Christ? What a wonderful world this would be!
Och!!! I was praying for answers to a situation recently and boy did I recieve the answer. During the week, I recieved bits and pieces of the answer. My thought was okay I think I see what's going on. Little did I know... I didn't know. It wasn't until 4 am in the morning when I should have been sleeping, the truth ...the full complete answer hit me in the face. I created my own problem and I was keeping myself in a box. I was my worst enemy. Sometimes it's not your associates... it's not your situation... It's simply the way you choose to handle and respond to your problem or situation. So what's the solution? Change YOU! I'm on a change my mind journey. I'm feeling good already!
No matter where you are in your journey of life...God is There! If your head is down, lift it up...God is There! There is nothing too hard for God! I'm so glad I serve a God who want give up on me. He has a unique way of opening my eyes to a new light! He has a unique way of allowing me to walk to edge of a cliff and not allow me to fall over. He pulls me back and places me in a safe place. He places me where I should be. I love him with all my heart, mind, body and soul. Hope you feel that same way too. To God be the Glory for all things!
I was asked this question and it seems to be the hardest question to answer. As I think about an answer, I have concluded that my good years out number my bad years. Now that's something to shout about. What is your reply? If you could live one year of your life over what year would it be and why?
