Goddess Kiss'd - CD is in hand!

So very happy to have boxes of CDs. I've been sharing them this week with family and friends. Already selling. Woot!

Happy Birthday to Shambalah!

Had a spectacular time camping out for the weekend and playing a private birthday concert for my dear friend Shambalah. We laughed, we cried (during Freya's Lullaby), we yelled at the rooster that crowed from 3am till sunrise, we drummed, we drank a bit, and we passed around as many hugs as we were able. And we sang a very R-rated birthday song, specially written for the occasion, and one which will never again see the light of day. Such an honor to be able to play for a dear friend. Thanks so much for sharing your birthday.

Goddess Kiss'd CD is almost ready!

So close to being ready for a CD launch! The music is mixed and mastered. The artwork and graphics should be done this week. Oh, my ... Goddess Kiss'd is almost ready for the world! Feeling like a proud mama.

Interview with St. Cloud Pagan Radio

Woot! Had a lovely conversation with Lynn SilverWolf of St. Cloud Pagan Radio today. Check it out: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/st-cloud-pagan-radio/2013/05/05/interview-with-mama-gina

Editing out Distortion at TIA

I surely do love technology ... love it even better when I can figure out solutions to sticky problems. I rushed a raw recording of Freya's Lullaby because I had to get to the airport, but couldn't get rid of the distortion before I shut down my little studio. So, sitting here at Tampa International Airport, pulled up a quick tutorial on youtube on how to get rid of distortion on audacity - the program I used to record. It really was a quick fix - did it right here waiting for my flight, and reloaded a cleaner version of the lullaby on reverbnation. Loving how technology allows me to share something so personal and powerful and so ancient and archetypal as a Mother's deep love and bittersweet vision for her child. Thank you Freya. I think you'd really like computers.

Freya's Lullaby

Freya stopped in last weekend as I was thinking about how much I love my beautiful son. We spoke of her hopes and fears for her own Baldur - oh, just google the whole Nordic tale. Her lullaby fell into my heart, and I just had to share. This is a quick, raw, and flawed recording. Not going to apologize. Some folks wanted to hear it, and I am getting on a plane in a few hours, and must put my mini-studio away. May you all love someone so deeply ... have a beautiful week.

Lovely weekend and concert

Last weekend was spent beneath the trees at Boyd Hill in St. Petersburg, FL. Such a beautiful place. The concert Friday night was such fun - huge thanks to all my friends and family who came out to listen and support this little indie pagan musician. You folks rocked - especially the One Tribe chant!

I also finished Freya's Lullaby Saturday, and send out huge thanks to everyone who listened and wept. It's good to know I'm on the right track. I'll probably take some time later this week to get a rough recording of the lullaby to share.

I am truly Goddess Kiss'd. Still blissed out from a spectacular weekend.

Feels Great Doing Good

Had such a blast at the benefit for Grey Ghosthawk! Everyone in our community came together to contribute their energy and cold, hard cash. I played for awesome folks, and Hecate's Wheel - two phenomenal ladies with exquisite harmonies and beautiful souls - played a lovely acoustic set. So very grateful for the opportunity to make some music, contribute to someone so worthy of our love, and to watch our tribe in action! This life is wonderful.

Brighid's Fire camping and concert

My heart is so completely full from this weekend - camping in the woods with the most beautiful folks in the world. If you were there in body or in spirit, I thank you for your support. I felt your love from the first note to the last during my concert. Thank you for listening - thank you for letting me share my heart, whether I was serious or silly. You rocked with me during Odin's Song (The Trouble I'm In). You cried with me during The Goddess of Letting Go. And you clapped and stomped your feet and sang along with the brand-spankin' new Brownie Song! I am truly blessed. Thank you!! Let's do this again.

Me and Simple Technology

So, I thought I was deleting old messages, and just deleted a handful of lovely comments instead. Doh!
