So we, Tyler Denning Band, have been playing music in Tallahassee for almost 3 years now, and it's been a very fast-paced, exciting journey. From scrambling to get an unrehearsed band together for a Dance Marathon fundraiser in 2010, to playing the BamaJam Music Festival in Alabama last June, we've been blessed with opportunity after opportunity that has allowed us to grow, mature, and succeed at a pretty fast pace. But this ascent has started to slow down, and the rewards of playing frequent cover-song gigs are less appealing. The real passion and focus now is to show Tallahassee (followed by other towns) that we can do more than play a good version of a Sublime song. There is currently a group of 8-10 original songs that we've been working into our shows, and audiences seem to groove to and approve of them. They're also being recorded right now and a full length (12 song) album should be finished and in people's hands/ears by mid December. Once the album is done, we'll be able to start promoting it everywhere we possibly can, and hopefully get out of Tallahassee to play it and show it to other music-lovers out there. In the meantime, however, the main objective is to connect with those people around us who actually CARE about MUSIC and are looking for that new band to listen to, support, and share with their friends. We think we can be that band.
